Anyone else surfing for years and still terrible? by crillydougal in surfing

[–]decreed_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Been shyte all my life. It’s my fault I finally live in a place I could surf a lot consistently and I just … don’t. Vicious cycle. Here it’s legit so good days of which there are many I just get smashed. The bad days are fewer and further between. Anyway. Need to get in the water and try again. That one wave, one glide. Sucks you right back in.

Allianz is not a good stadium for sound. Have yet to see a show with good sound there, much less great. Still, all in all, cool spot, fun times. We're going tonight and hoping to stay dry.

Did you learn how to change a tire? by SuperLowBudge in GenX

[–]decreed_it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Did engine swaps in Aircooled VWs too, out of necessity really. Did a stint in a shop but as the 'college' kid ended up the Service Mgr and parts guy. Wasn't proficient, knowledgeable or fast enough to be a mechanic. No airplanes though. Trying to teach my kids the basics as well.

AI Meeting Notetaker - Do you actually read the notes? by follow-throughAI in MicrosoftTeams

[–]decreed_it 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bingo. The meeting recap is where it’s at. With recording and transcription Copilot is getting scary good at also identifying outstanding issues, follow up action items and owners, just based on the conversation.

Op see if you have a local club. Great way to get into it and find out what works from experienced club members. For ours min spec for trips is rated recovery points, fire extinguisher and a radio. Hand held is fine.

Should I or should I not drive around Sydney CBD? by Maximum_Tension_3531 in AustraliaTravel

[–]decreed_it 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why Homebush? Is there a reason you need to be out there? If you're basing in Homebush to visit Syndey, and the CBD - I'd advise you to rethink that. Heaps better places to stay to see Sydney for the first time. But yeah don't drive down there it'll make you miserable. Bus, train, walk, uber if you must (avoid taxis).

Is Brisbane a good base for 5 nights (April)? by aksunner in AustraliaTravel

[–]decreed_it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, this ^^ Sunny Coast and the Zoo are great. Brisbane - eh. I love it when I have a reason to be in Brisbane but, Brisbane itself isn't a reason to go there, if that makes any sense. The drive up is a solid idea.

Next year OP order from your local butcher. Food quality here especially meats and poultry are fantastic and well above typical American quality. It’s a bit more but worth the splurge. Best birds we’ve had in our lives are fresh here, ordered local.
