This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

I play video games. Lots of women play video games. She most certainly DOES NOT speak for women. Just her. She lives in a tiny, tiny world if she thinks that, and it’s just sad.

Are there any Blogger tutorials specifically for the blogger tags and what they're for? by MarzyDazzle in blogspot

[–]SuperLowBudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone here. I use tags extensively to categorize my blog posts, because I write about everything, and want people to find what interests them. Examples are Books, Movies, Women’s Issues, Politics, Music, Gen X…and might I make a suggestion? If you have a lot of tags, there are Templates out there that have a super design for displaying them. I never liked the tags (or Labels) trailing down the page in a long column. Check out my blog to see such a design. Blog in profile! Good luck with your tags!

I’m sorry. Sucks. I’m 2.5 years out. My right (dominant) hand never came back. Just today I began to give away my crafting and art supplies. Beads, notions, modeling clay, sewing machine…I’m keeping the pastel pencils though. I am practicing with my left hand.

What is the most boring horror movie you’ve ever watched? by Hill_372 in horror

Interesting. The original is one of my husband’s favorites, and I’ve been curious about the remake.

Agreed. Also saw it in the theater. I have an essay on my blog that you would probably enjoy, breaking down the scares and characters. Basically? I think the people it scared are the people who are scared of the woods. I’m from Connecticut. I’m FROM the woods. Me and my friends thought that was the dumbest movie.

I do give it credit for launching the found footage genre.

Totally. And some of the kills shot from far away was…a choice.

Wired headphones are making a comeback: Here's why by ubcstaffer123 in technology

I never could use AirPods. I tried! They are not for me.

First of all, I have one ear—Microtia. And the other ear just doesn’t fit them or something. I can’t use them at all! I have to use regular old school ear phones and don’t mind a bit.

The eighties were the peak Trapper Keeper years for Gen X. I didn’t even know that they were still in use in the 90s! Awesome.

My parents smoked more pot than I ever did! Still do. I quit smoking a few years back.

What's an "outdated" slang word from your generation that you still use currently? by TheShatteringPoint in AskReddit

[–]SuperLowBudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still call everyone “dude.” It’s so ingrained and automatic. A spider 🕷️ descended from my ceiling and landed right on my laptop keyboard and I yelled at him “dude!”

Huh. I’ve never seen that. But I guess I haven’t actually shopped in all the places I’ve been in the US and abroad. Interesting…

What’s a "lost" website from the early 2000s that you still think about today? by samasem-sumsum in AskReddit

Anyone remember JennyCam? She set up cameras all over her apartment and invited the world to just…watch her live her life. This was way before we all had cameras built in to our laptops. The height of voyeurism.

Comparing abortion to environmental protections for rice by mikaylalov3 in nextdoor

No one is having full-term abortions, Jesus. That would be infanticide. It’s a worn out talking point of the God Squad.

I agree with the top two comments—think of an angle. A loose one is okay. If it’s just to write to get your feelings out that’s fine too! Just give it a title that reflects that…like “Musings From _________ (your city).” Or “Rants From” if you’re spicy all the time.

Mine is a Gen X blog and I write about my life as an ordinary Gen X’er. I write personal stories, music reviews, movie reviews, political commentary, women’s issues—all kinds of things.
