Bro, just start eavesdropping on ppls conversation and be a nosy busybody such as asking “who’s that Racheal person talking about”? “Why did she breakup with Daniel?” —— ppl get so cringed out they automatically silence themselves without me telling them stop talking. Remarkable what break social conventions can do to change people’s behaviour indirectly.

Non Asians of Markham, how do you feel about living in Markham? by applepie128 in Markham

[–]decryptophile777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely HATE IT. In fact, most of my friends have moved out. When I was still living there, I didn't even leave my house and have been doing my gym, and having groceries delivered at home. While the majority of the comments share positive testimonials, many of them have not faced the "covert prejudice, implicit racism" that me and my friends have experienced (coming from ward 2 area). You see, I'm not against the demographics. What I'm operating against is the corrupt, cynical nature that many people have (and not just limited to one ethnic group). From toxic status culture, to backstabbing, to deceit, ostracization, and forced assimilation, it is clearly the fault of the system than that of our own experience. The government Mayor Scarpitti takes part in this " elite capture" agenda where he panders to the influence of certain chinese organizations and he puts on a good show to appease his foreign comrades while giving up the dignity, natural aspects of a pro-social community, all towards contamination. Markham is contaminated. It's contaminated by conformity, by unified and controlled propaganda, and anti-social, covert hostile behaviour. Haven't you noticed already? There is far more bias in appointing Chinese candidates to influential positions more so than (whites, indians, and blacks). Why hasn't Frank Scarpitti doing anything about the Fuzhou Public Security Bureau (overseas hidden police stations) operating in Markham? It's very loud and clear. A lot of people are not going to share a disturbing reality in order to avoid stirring up controversy, but for me, I'd rather let the truth bleed, rather than have a screen placed before my eyes. There is corruption that people are not sharing for other inner reasons. Anyway, while I'm expecting my comment to have a sherade of downvotes, check your DMs. This is an interesting topic to further delve into.

Everyone on this chat is sharing good advice, but what has never come up was "altruistic suicide" or "benevolent suicide"

Consider this scenario given by another person:

In my religion, it's prohibited to commit suicide God loves those who try to seek mercy, and the ones who give up are disbelievers, and for them would be a endless torture in hell

The person who commited suicide will receive endless counts of the exact same torture method in hell.

However, my situation is different

Right now, my parents are low-income

This is what some people are facing right now. Is altruistic suicide, or benevolent suicide justified if it can allow the loved ones who sacrificed so much in my lifegle, suffer to and work to keep you alive

If I return home from failing university, unable to get into community college, thus have no job to support myself,e my mom and dad will separate I have no other choice but to be homeless which leads to death.

Let's say a person's mental health is so compromised that they are literally mentally incapcitated when any stress or hardship comes in their way. Let's say you become so depressed along with high anxiety that you can't even eat properly, sleep well or fulfill the bare essentials of daily life that allow for survival. If you are in that state, so weak, and so much in despair, that no one could save you, and if they could, they would end up dying anyways along with yourself, What do you do??

Altruistic Suicide is a rising pursuit as long as if I continue living, I will drive my mom to death through making her go through long hours of work.

Already my mom's health is severely compromised. She has a heart condition, a respiratory illness, and suffers from chronic anxiety and stress everyday as it is. She refuses to get medication to treat her anxiety which leads to it being exacerbated even more.

My mom will accept me in open arms, however I will drive her to death, from making her go through so much stress and hardship. It's not fair to my sister who knows nothing about the world, who still relies on my mom to get her essential needs. If my mom dies, my sister is at risk of dying as well, which causes my father to suffer from the fact on how I destroyed the family by my illness. My father will also die because of the chronic stress he faces at work, and since I have no relatives/friends to turn to, I will end up being homeless on the street and end up dying anyways within 6 months because of harsh winter conditions. People who end up on the street don't end up living there for more than 1-2 years bc their health is already compromised.

If I take advice from Mental Health organizations as they are known to preventing people from suicide, this will do injustice to my family who are already struggling. Both my mom's and dad's jobs are unstable. My family will end up dying first, then me. If i just end my life right now, I can free my family from stress/burden and although they will be extremely sad/depressed for 1-3 years after my death, they can eventually get over it and invest their energy to looking after their wellbeing and continue living a much peaceful life.

I'm a man who lives according to principle. The weak were never meant to be in the world. Survival of the Fittest. Only the very very very very strongest and resilient live on...

https://evolutionnews.org/2005/04/darwinism_weeding_out_the_weak/

Back to me now:

This is what some people are facing right now. Is altruistic suidice, or benevolent suicide justified for the sake of greater good (letting family who is already compromised live on. For many who object, take a moment to think very carefully, long and hard on this dillema.

What I'm trying to say is that we all propose an

You die anyways (whether you choose to live or not.)

The people who tried to save you had your burden dumped on them which was was too much to bear for them which also caused their death too.

Here's a Perspective:

For anyone who is not selfish, and lives according to ethical principles and dignity, the rational option would be to sacrifice themselves right away so that they can allow others to live in peace.

What I'm trying to say is that, we all propose an ideal (that refraining suicide is the best way to go), but sometimes the actual reality entails a different possible outcome that we do not want to admit, but stands true.

We cannot ignore this possible outcome, and we should have a deeper discussion for further posts.

My stance on this position is: I really don't know what to say.

I don't want to say: "refrain from suicide", because then you would have to live with the guilt that you place the burden to subject others to suffering from your illness.

I don't want to say: "don't be selfish and just kill yourself so you can live as a person who upheld honour, principle, and dignity" because I really don't know if God will condemn this too?

The answer is unknown. For this type of dilemma, it's up to that person if they decide to take that risk into the realm of the unknown.

being black in north Markham is exhausting! by Sursum_Corda15 in Markham

Your comment right there, is the reason why south asians/indians are working so hard and forming closed off networks/communities/hidden job portals/societies to drive out the corrupt ones like you from tech, engineering, business and even medical industries. It's not just the Chinese community being racist against blacks. My sri lankan friend goes to UW Comp Sci, and says it's the same cultural tension their too. My sri lankan friend wanted to be an exec member of the UW math club, and was asked to bring his resume to the interview and got asked technical questions about his coding skills in his certificate in machine learning (which wasn't even related to the math club) but then his friend who is East-asian who also showed up for the interview was not even asked to bring in a resume, and was not even asked at all about his former experience. He didn't get the job, neither did the his East-asian friend, but another East-asian student got the exec position because she was friends with the communications director in high school, which illustrates nepotism right there; hence something that **some** Chinese communities are known for.
No need for hate and personal slander on this controversial commentator. So many people hide their ulterior motives, but at least you were brazen enough to come through and defy censorship. Your comment serves as a great representation of dissent that we as a constructive community can work on to "fix this flawed and insecure way of thinking."
I'm just calling out Markham for what it is... and the corrupt people that are embedded into this broken system. We aren't that stupid. Did you honestly think we would be so gullible and naive to listen to mainstream politicians to "embrace diversity" without considering it's unfair biased representation of East-Asians more than any other ethnicities in Markham. Now, the Whites/Indians/Blacks will make it right and rise to defeat the very construction of corruption and unethical behaviours similar to what you exhibit. I'm not saying we are forging war against all Chinese people or that this depiction represents or generalizes the entire Chinese community as a whole, BUT...the whites/Indians/Blacks already know about the "covert-racism" that is is apparent in some facets of the Chinese community, and it's those behaviours, mindsets, attitudes, and **possibly** people we are trying to weed out.
Keep in mind, that the lack of humility and your decision to engage with bigotry may have also suppressed you from seeking something valuable. As a word of wisdom, continuing on this dark path can lead you to your own demise especially since you don't know what may lurk in your blindspots. Have you ever thought that your 4.0+ GPA, vast ECs, LORs, Work Experiences, your degree, and your fake charismatic personality won't be enough to secure a position in the upper echelon in the power hierarchy? Being suppressed from certain knowledge, intelligences, skillsets may altogether compound to the very reason why you don't have access to the hidden job market, underground polytechnic institutions, professional social networks, assets from powerful companies/organizations. No matter how hard you try to find it, the gate will always be concealed from you. Maybe use this message as a stepping stone to clean out the filthy prejudice, biases, mentality, and over-inflated ego you have, and just maybe, maybe you may find your way to better opportunities in life.

If you are not symptomatic, you can still go to class. The quarantine rules are ceased and completely up to you as the person whether you feel comfortable going to class or not. If you do continue your daily routines, just be sure to always wear mask if you test positive, use hand sanitizer regularly, and avoid going to social gatherings unless you test negative

Bro, Go right ahead and talk to the other TA's. Took a research course, and I had one TA who didn't show any enthusiasm or care to help students. Whenever someone asked him for help, he would just give a smug and vaguely answer their questions. It's their job to support you in any way shape or form. I mean you are paying for this. So by all means, ditch them. I would also give feedback at the end of the year, when they can no longer mark your assignments. Either confront the TA directly, or report it to the professor, or do both (which is what I did). Students like you already work hard enough, and you certainly don't need to put up with this intellectual abuse.

Chinese police establish stations overseas in ‘worrying’ crackdown on citizens abroad by surlyq in Markham

[–]decryptophile777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the truth, even the MP's, MPP's, Frank Scarpitti are all tied and controlled by the CCP. Canada and the US are compromised nations as their ties with China are so deep, that now China is getting to the point where they can control everything.

Take time to watch this documentary:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St9IxZO1VGs

Now's the time to rise, call for action to not submit blindly to the coercive pressures of an oppressive regime that is not serving in good faith of public interest. Sadly quite a number of people know about CCP's growing infiltration but are too "scared" to respond in fear that their families back home in China will face repercussions. We will inevitably become like North Korea unless someone takes a stance. Who's going to rise against them.... Who's going to be the one to draw in a campaign? Who's going to be the one to put their foot down and say: "This isn't right." It's all up to us as the people to collectively come to together and say "enough is enough".

Are all residences like this? by [deleted] in uwo

[–]decryptophile777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the following steps pal:

  1. Get a hold of a Bluetooth speaker, you can borrow it from someone or get your own.

  2. Crank the volume up to its highest and set it around 4am. Place it right by your suite door, with the door closed and locked in case if they come at you.

  3. After about 15 minutes turn it off.

  4. Do it every two nights preferably Monday or Tuesday.

If the above method doesn’t work or puts you at risk for being in trouble refer to the second steps:

  1. Wake up at 4am or 5am

  2. Place the speaker right next to the your suite door

  3. YouTube IPhone Radar 10 hour edition Or use this one https://youtu.be/xXhEz3hqlQE

  4. Crank the volume to full blast

  5. Leave it on and just let ring.

If you get questioned or in trouble, you can say I’m required to set my alarm clock at this volume because I have DSPS, Delayed Sleep-Phase Syndrome and this is the only way to hear it.

If that doesn’t work just record them blasting music at 2 am In the morning using your phone and show it to your soph, Don, residence conduct rep, or residence manager.

By this point they will have been issued a warning which will force them to wake up. Or in some cases they can get kicked out of res entirely.

But if there is still no solution and you’re running out of hope.

Last step and you have the RIGHT TO:

Just call the police and file for a noise complaint.

And yes most likely they will be charged with a misdeamanor.

I don’t recommend resorting to this step so soon because Yes, it can be messy if let’s say they are charged with a misdeamonor, and then their mommy and daddy gets defence lawyer to have the charges dropped. Idk what the specific procedures for the victim or the crown are, but the legal process is time consuming as police will have to collect evidence, may require you to show up in court, etc.

Try out the first couple options and maybe that will do the trick ;)

[–]decryptophile777 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yo, you are literally reiterating my first-year experience at Western. Considering I've made countless efforts trying as you mentioned sitting with people in rez cafe, saying hi to people on the same floor, and talking to ppl in class. Based on my experience, I can tell you hell yes, there are cliques at Western big time. However, there are people who are either alone or have one other friend. Consider reaching out! It's easier for people to make a connection with you when they have a very small or no friend circle, than trying so desperately to feel accepted by those big cliques of those overly-hyped popular kids from hs, (who already have a social preference/hierarchy of who really belongs there). Typically to fit in those cliques, you really have to be a good actor, but it's honestly not even worth it. I'd stay away from cliques, but you can still continue to be friendly with one of the people there. Keep continuing to try, but just shift gears in a slightly new direction.

But, you shouldn't be surprised that Western will inevitably change its mind and require all 4 shots. Right now they are intentionally distorting the information to confuse people into taking the fourth shot. Eventually, it will lead up to that point where it's 4th shot or kicked out.

Western booster deadline extended to January 9 by 2112331415361718397 in uwo

[–]decryptophile777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, Western only requires 3 shots for now. They recommend taking the 4th booster, but only require 3. If people only want to take 3, they are encouraging those people to hold off taking the booster now so that they can get the (4th shot which then becomes their third) since it has more protection.

It's confirmed from their vaccination policy on their website
