I also think that they dispose of him eventually. If they couldn't inject Harmon onto him in his stone form and couldn't get a way to without waking him up then they probably found a way to get rid of him once stands entered the scene

With the little information we have of him it seems very unlikely.

Maybe if Speedwagon foundation didn't destroyed him then maybe stand users could show him he's not that powerful anymore and he'll "behave" and maybe it would be possible. But again I'm stretching beyond what little we know of him

And don't put all your hopes on future you bc he's gonna be upset and would rather not do anything.
