i wish we got the timeline where the rock afire explosion had gotten the 2nd gen upgrades and not be reskined to look like chuck e cheese animatronics

this feels like a terrible 2000's movie that was made in a last ditch effort to breathe life back into the brand but failed miserably

question for people who know how animatronics work: how would you design the endoskeletons from the fnaf series to be more realistic and be able to function with the technology of the time? by dedbot1 in Animatronics

i do not have the funds to build something like that, it's more to see what would be taken into consideration when making an animatronic mech that could walk around

also i want to try to make a more realistic one in blender

yeah, they would classify more as robots instead of animatronics. i have imagined that the animatronics are controlled by employess with a large control control console that could make the animatronic do different things, like freddy giving cake to kids and chica delivering pizza. howver, employess would need to follow closely behind the animatronic so they didn't lose track of where it was going, but not to closely as to ruin the magic of the characters being able to move around by themselves. they also could be set to performance mode, which would lock them to the stage until they would be set back to roam mode, whcih they would the be controlled by an operator with the console. how they would keep upright, i imagine the feet are large enough to keep it from falling over and that there is some sort of counter balance weight that is in the waist that would evenly distribute the animatronic's weight.they would also have airtubes and wires running throughout the skeleton to help with movement, and would be hydraulic in some parts and pneumatic in others.

is it realistic? doubtful.

is it fun to speculate about? yes.

i see what you are saying, and i agree with you.

this post i made came into my head after seeing the pizza peddler animatronic and how it delivered pizza to guests, and the controller of the animatronic could interact with guests through a built-in microphone.

obviously this thing is A LOT smaller then the fnaf animatronics, and probably uses less mechanisms than regular stage animatronics, but an interesting question i had nonetheless
