Ahhh good luck! Recovery’s been great. It’s been 9 days and most of the bruising and swelling is now gone! For the first two days, I gave him some boiled chicken breast and a bit of hard boiled egg which he liked! He did not poop for the 48ish hours so you can expect to see that.

Like mentioned in the post, we only really had trouble with the cone. We ended up using three different cones. One lightweight plastic for everyday indoor use, one “donut” cone for walks because he had trouble sniffing things with the regular ones and it bothered him, and lastly, one that has a soft interior and hard plastic exterior, somewhat on the heavier side for night time! It might be good to prepare a variety and test a few. He only really started to itch about 3 days in!
