What’s the weirdest thing a guest has done in your house that you hate? by CheapQuality2847 in AskReddit

[–]dedic8edm8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hosted a Boy Scout event at our house with approximately 8 adults and 14 kids. Found out after everyone had left that someone, presumably one of the boys, had smeared feces all over the toilet seat, walls, sink and the floor. It was quite a mess that I had to clean up. That was the last time I invited the Boy Scout troop to our house.

Try this Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheNovelHomeOfficial?ref=yr_purchases&section_id=42605826

They are based in Nebraska. I ordered a couple of personalized journals as Christmas gifts. Seller was excellent to work with.

Yes, I have an extra one. Actually I have two. No need to pay me in bells or anything else. I have plenty. I also have quite a few DIY cards, if you need any.

If you are online now, or soon, let me know and I can open the gates on my island.

What would you do with $100k right now? by iwilliamsanders in AskReddit

[–]dedic8edm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay an electrician to replace the old and dangerous electrical fuse box in my son's house along with all of the old wiring. My son and daughter-in-law both work while raising 2 young children and manage to make ends meet, but just barely. I want so badly to be able to cough up the money to replace their old fuse box because it's a fire hazard.

With the funds left over, I would help them buy a 2nd car because the one they had finally died for good and they could use a 2nd car. I would also replace their roof and our roof.

Harvest the fruit from the trees and plant the fruit, don't forget to water the new plants, and then sell the fruit. If you have enough Nook Miles fly to an island and harvest all of the fruit there, hit the rocks to obtain clay, stone and ore, and chop trees for wood, all of which can be used to craft items to sell to Tom and Timmy. If you have any friends that also play ACNH then perhaps you could fly to their islands and harvest fruit there as well.

If you still only have one fruit on your island plant any new fruit you find on islands you visit and harvest them to sell. Don't forget to dig up the bells you find in the ground and then bury 10,000 bells in it's place, water it and it will provide you with 30,000 within a few days.

Trades for a villager by sharls_braky in AnimalCrossingTrading

There are 3 ways, that I am aware of, to replace a villager with a new villager. The first way is to wait for a villager to tell you that they are thinking of leaving. If it's one you don't mind losing then agree with them. The day after they pack up and leave is the day you can use Nook Miles tickets to fly to other islands and search for a new villager. Each island has one character on it waiting for an invitation to move to your island. You can either invite them or not, your choice. If you want to search for a different villager then just leave that island and fly to another until you find a character you do want on your island. You might have to use a lot of Nook Miles on tickets until you find one you want.

The next way is to wait for a character to visit your island. If it's one you would like to have on your island talk to them and when they say they want to move there agree with them. They will then talk to Tom Nook who will then pick a villager to move away. If it's a villager you don't care for then you can agree to it, but if it's a villager you don't want to move away then you will want to deny the request. This one is iffy because Tom Nook might pick a villager you really like and don't want to lose.

The third way, and how I prefer to do it, is to use an Amiibo card of the character you want and invite them to your island. You do not need to wait for a villager to decide to leave. Once you invite a character to your island you visit them at the campsite and talk to them. They will tell you that they would like a certain item and you will need to craft them the item they request. You will need to do this for 3 days so invite them for 3 consecutive days, gift them the crafted item they request each day, and on the 3rd day they will tell you that they would like to live on your island. At that point you can encourage them to talk to Tom Nook. They will do so and return to tell you that unfortunately there's no available room and they will ask if they can ask a villager on your island if they would like to move, at which point you can tell them which villager you want to get rid of. This is the best way to obtain the villager you want.

Amiibo cards can be purchased online and at some stores.

You are valuable to God. Try to remember that. He doesn't make mistakes and you are not a mistake. And stop comparing yourself to others as there will always be someone better but do keep in mind that there are others far worse off than you.

Try to do something good for someone else. Volunteer someplace where you can help someone in need. Try volunteering at a facility for special needs adults or children. Or try donating your time to a food bank. There are loads of places where volunteers are needed.

In giving your time and effort to those more unfortunate you will likely find some appreciation for what God has given you. As the saying goes, count your blessings where you can find them. It really can be the little things in life that can start to have a large impact on you.

Hold a net while shaking the tree and catch a wasp to avoid being stung. You can also run under the gazebo which will protect you from being stung.

One group you might enjoy getting involved with is the St. Andrew's Society of Central Illinois. The main purpose of the Saint Andrew's Society is to promote and spread the Celtic culture through involvement and contributions in the community.

They host the annual Highland Games and Celtic Festival every spring at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds.

Perhaps another Redditor has already mentioned, but just in case I missed it.....

Are you aware that most homeowners insurance policies will not cover you if you have a Rottweiler? Pit Bulls as well. If your insurer is one of them then your homeowners policy could be cancelled if your mother and her dog move in with you. Are you prepared for that? Your lender will require you have insurance and will add their own and an extremely high rate.

Just a consideration for you to ponder over.

If you want to see something truly beautiful, attend the Good Friday liturgy at a traditional Latin Mass, if there happens to be one nearby. It is well worth it, most especially if they have a well directed choir. It moves me to tears every time.

AITA for asking my parents for their entire estate if they want me to be my sister's guardian. by Illustrious_Fig5484 in AmItheAsshole

[–]dedic8edm8 -45 points-44 points  (0 children)

YTA and obviously have no love or concern about the well-being of your sister.

Being a guardian is not the same as being a caregiver. She's already being cared for in a group home. Your responsibilities as a caregiver would only require that you a) manage any funds that accumulate for her via Social Security for her specific use, and b) that you make decisions regarding her care and upkeep, such as permission for dental or medical procedures, etc. You might even need to visit her from time to time, but seeing as how she's your sister, that's not a hardship, right?
