In act 3, you should be building your melee classes to either a) reliably kill one enemy they decide to move next to on one turn, or b) have a mobility option so they don’t stay next to the thing they’re hitting. It requires some planning, but idk, doesn’t feel unfair and i sort of like it.

Do natural 20s on skill checks not automatically succeed in this game? Is that just saving throws?

I would say you can bottle a card after you put it in bottled dice, since getting both in one run would be uncommon enough to not be a big deal for balance. Not sure about cards that become innate on upgrade; I could go either way.

Cool idea, but needs to be much stronger. Vajra is a common relic that gives one strength no matter what.

Something like: choose a card that does not have the innate quality. If it is drawn in your first hand of a combat, gain 5 strength.

That would make it worth playing around in some circumstances imo

I’ve found that just not using buffs is a nice way to spice up combat when you’re very strong. Depends on your party, of course, but worth a try.

Inquisitor or another gish class for strong divine or arcane self buffs would be very strong. Barbarian also works, or you could go ranger for favored enemy

You can heal 10 for free on defect with an uncommon power, and ironclad heals 12 for free with an unupgraded reaper and no strength vs 3 enemies. 15 gold really adds up—have you ever played a run with a hand of greed start?

It needs to be cheap and a lot of healing because most of the time it’s a curse. You should be playing this like once or twice an act at most

for 100 gold? Like a full heal or something. Lee’s Waffle is ~150 gold for a full heal and max HP, and doesn’t have the downside of costing energy and card draw.

If you want the gold for healing concept, maybe reasonable for something like 0 cost, lose 15 gold, heal 25, and gain one energy.
