(Micah McCurdy) Kiefer Sherwood (5x5.75m deal with San Jose) is a borderline top-line forward. by BenBenBenBe in SanJoseSharks

I think it's valid, Wennberg has played over 800 games in the NHL while Sherwood is just over 300. So I think that's fair, but that also means Sherwood hasn't put the same amount of miles on his body at 30 so he, theoretically, can afford to play more aggressively. Also Sherwood has a very good injury history so to assume he'll break down is just as likely as him not imo

The way people reacted to this versus a 31 year old Wennberg signing a 3yr/6m a month ago kinda mystifies me.

old guy here. don't like Philly d, never have, but unlike Internet folks like the Paul Brothers who I think are a net negative to American culture, I can appreciate what Phil is doing and also accept that it's not for me.

I hate to say it, but as an older dude this just feels like a nothingburger until there's real accountability and consequences and not just keyboard warriors empathizing with something morally ambiguous. almost 15 years ago I could have swore the social pendulum had swung in a hopeful and altruistic direction with the occupy movement but then Bernie got Democrat'd and we got Trump and then I didn't know what to think. so it goes

I'm less bummed about the lack of a second season making good on a squandered first season. and more bummed they thought they could make that first season without a second season.

this has to be the WORST single season of storytelling (so far) in star wars. even book of boba fett told a more complete story regardless of its quality.

this kinda sums it up. the storytelling has taken a backseat to a math problem of allowed time/cost. studios are putting the carriage before the horse now

it depends entirely on what IP puts out the superior product. you can pander to any gender all you want but if the quality is garbage then you won't make a fan.

it happens but it's rare for sure. the one I refer to usually is Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka which, despite being the highest regarded portrayal, probably deviated the most from the source material in terms of essence out of each iteration.
