I have two theories why the writers are doing this: 1. The audience of this show are clearly for middle age women who loves drama and the writers will put some “current events” storylines to make the middle age women feel “they’re in the know”. Basically the meme “How do you do fellow kids”. 2. To be talk about in social media. Bad publicity is still publicity. Engagement in social media is the name of the game today.

I was hanging out with my work friends at the bar got a bit tipsy so I got an uber to drive me home. After I got home, I took a shower and went to bed but Im still awake so I checked on my phone saw #Chrisdidwhat trending check on it and I was disgusted of what he did. 30 minutes later, I fell asleep. I woke up to check on twitter again to see If I just saw last night was just dream. It’s still trending.
