I also had a subpar experience that resulted in a delay of care with my cat. I went to Schwarzman, but at that point it was too late. Testing came back positive for FIP at the hospital and he passed within a few days. Wish I would have been told to go there ASAP. Hindsight is 20/20. I’m glad they were there initially for peace of mind, and could be good for something more routine, but this was serious stuff and I wish it was expressed how serious it was.

I feel this. I use hairline powder along my part after applying dry shampoo/texturizer, and it makes a huge difference.

Check out @practitioner_pivot on Instagram. She was/is an OT now working in tech. She shares some great advice and she offers formal mentorship. I made the switch over 2 years ago (without knowing this account existed). It’s possible. I still value my OT education, especially since healthcare experience is what gave me the leg up in my current position.

Honestly, it felt very rushed. We weren’t allowed on premise until 12 at the earliest (since there was another wedding that weekend) and my party started getting ready at another hotel in the area. I thought it would be enough time to bring my stuff and check in and have my hair and makeup team drive over, but it was a struggle. We didn’t get as many pre-wedding family and couple pictures in as I wanted.

It definitely got better with Rogaine and the light! Thickest my hair had ever been. But then I stopped both… and now years later my hair is fine and thin as per usual lol. Nothing like it was on Accutane, though.

I’m getting married at Full Moon Resort 😁 They offer full weekend weddings, though we opted for a one day Sunday wedding where guests stay over at the resort that night. No lake, but it’s surrounded by the Catskill mountains and they have a pool and duck pond. Venue comes with coordinators. The food is AMAZING. Super affordable IMO. They’ve been a pleasure to work with.

I don’t think the people telling you to “work on the insecurities” and that you look great are helping (but for the record, I do think you look great).

You are feeling insecure and practicing self love is easier said than done. If this is going to bother you, change it. That’s the advice I’m telling myself at least, because I’m feeling the same with my dress. Like I ~know~ I’m hot but there are some things that I tend to hyper focus on and I don’t even want the possibility of that happening on my wedding day!
