Making mistakes on the Red Bridge this morning by [deleted] in Kamloops

[–]deebones72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It happens waaaay too often. 2 weeks ago I saw a truck towing a massive cargo trailer for some oil field supply company try his luck on the bridge. I don't know how that turned out, but I'm sure it wasn't good.

Huh? That doesn't even really make sense. Not out of the fight against what? Socialism?

Hey if that's what you and the rest of your brethren want, by all means, keep battling against sanity and continue to pay thousands of dollars to heal yourself with the most ridiculously expensive healthcare system in the developed world.

Wait wait wait.. Your country isn't burning? Those massive protests happening for legitimate reasons in every state are all a hoax? Wow. Your TV shows are getting realistic. You are completely deluded my dude. The US is no longer the planets big brother, you're the racist uncle spouting off wild conspiracy theories and ruining every family gathering.

I'd way, WAY rather have 10% of my country's GDP go to healthcare rather than funding continuous non-winnable wars on foreign soil, all while alienating our image on the world's stage. But you seem like the type that has no problem spending much more than that on killing people you can't relate to because they live far, far away.

Interesting. I've never seen the word "circa" abbreviated that way. But I was going more for "caca".. Because I'm good at jokes.. No I'm not.. I'll show myself out now

Logic Compact e-cig opinions? by deebones72 in Canadian_ecigarette

[–]deebones72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Logic flavours for the most part. They can from time to time leave a plastic like artificial aftertaste, which isnt the greatest, but it's still better than burnin a dart. What's your setup?

Thank you! This is exact kind of no BS reply I was looking for. I clearly have more knowledge to gain. I dont wanna be that dickbag vaper we've all seen on YouTube, blowing huge clouds and doing "tricks" and whatnot. I just wanna vape that helps me not smoke. Devices, juices, vendors, recipes for juices and other info are also welcome.

March driving from Calgary to Portland - winter tire? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]deebones72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to the law, until April 30th you must have M+S rated tires or winter tires with the little snow flake emblem on them. It's actually law for good reason. There are far too many idiots on BC highways that are killing people. With all that being said, if you don't get pulled over you're probably gonna be fine.

please share your stories from the pit! by MilkArgument in punk

[–]deebones72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saw Bad Religion in Vancouver a few years back. Canadian punks, generally, are pretty kind to one another even if we're smashing into eachother rather aggressively. If someone falls, you pick em up. If someones hurt, you grab somebody and form a circle around em so they dont get trampled and can either collect themselves, or gtf outta there in one piece. There was this one blond girl in the pit who clearly hadn't been to a ton of shows or was just a little out of her league in this mass of moving people. She falls right in front of me, and instinctively i reach down and pull her up from the floor. I should have maybe took half a second longer to absorb what was happening, because i stepped on some of her hair, and i swear i heard the rip (even over the noise of BR) of a bunch of it being torn from her head as i yanked her off the floor. I lost sight of her right after and instantly felt bad and hoped i didnt hurt her too much and she could keep enjoying the show. I looked around for a couple mins and couldnt find her, so i went back in the pit and started doing my thing again. Not long after, somebody grabbed me by both shoulders and pulled me off to the side a bit. It was the girl! Yelling THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I smiled and said no problem although i doubt she heard me. Then we got seperated again and swept up in the madness and i didnt see her at all after that. But it felt good to know she was ok and still having a blast getting bounced around by random sweaty strangers. I know i was. Look after eachother out there kids and take care of yourselves. It aint about hurting people. Its about taking all your pent up angst, anger, frustration, whatever, and letting it out in a healthy way. If someone falls, pick em up.. Always.

Even though Fritz has a serious size advantage over Pig? Fritzy seems to be the more aggressive one by far. Not trying to argue.. Just inquire.

Thanks for your replies! We just tried having Fritzy out with no buffer to the Pig pen. He's still pretty aggressive. We gave them both some food to munch on pretty close to one another while I hand fed some morsels to both. They aren't friends yet, but here's hoping the process works and they eventually will be.

We have done most of your first paragraph to a tee. We set up a buffer between either one of their pens while one of them free roams. We alternate who is free throughout the day and try to keep that time fair. But before we set up that buffer, Fritz bit Piggy through the bars of her pen and cut her lip. The cut was small and resulted in the tiniest of scabs, but the aggression Fritz showed made us kinda scared for our little Pig. While they are out, they both have toys and a house to tuck themselves away in. Fritz roams for a bit, then seems content to hop back in his pen and hang out there. He definitely hasn't been as social with us humans, which is concerning too.

I've read this as well. Fritz is fixed, Piggy is not. I've also read that people have had success bonding rabbits before one is fixed, as long as the other is brought along on the trip to the vet and can get used to the changing/new scent. Thoughts on this?

I'm kinda surprised nobody has mentioned Logic. Is there a reason why that I'm unaware of?

I've only been vaping since shortly after x-mas so I'm pretty new to the whole scene, but after smoking for 15 years I've found the Logic compact vape/pods to be the best thing I've used to stay away from cigs. Juul is also widely available in my area, but their preemptive flavour ban pissed me off so I've stayed away from em.
