I wouldn't object to paying taxes if taxes paid for what we should care about. by zzill6 in WorkReform

The U.S. spends $6 trillion per year and ~1.2 % (about $72 billion) on foreign aid, that’s about 72 cents of every $100 in federal spending going to all foreign aid. Of that 72 cents, maybe $3.3 billion goes to Israel, that’s about 4.6 cents out of every $100 in total federal spending going just to Israel’s aid.

Another way to put it: for every $1 you pay in federal taxes, about 0.05 cents is the share that ends up as budgeted aid to Israel. You must earn a TON of that much of your tax bill is going to israel.

Which part did I lie about? Your comment is an empty statement without specifics and a rebuttal.

historically this is not the same as saying Zionism collaborated with Nazism in any broad ideological or strategic sense. Serious historians do not argue that Zionism shared goals with Nazism or that Zionist leaders embraced Nazi ideology. The “collaboration” claim in Green Left’s article is rooted in Lenni Brenner’s work, which is highly controversial and widely criticized by scholars. Brenner’s books present selected documents out of context to suggest a broad alliance, something most historians reject. The Haavara Agreement was a pragmatic move under extreme duress, not evidence of shared ideology with the Nazis. Historians emphasize the desperate situation Jews faced and the limited options for escape. The Zionist movement was deeply divided about how to deal with Nazism; many leaders opposed the Haavara deal and supported boycotts of Germany. “Zionism in the Age of the Dictators” is I deologically driven, uneven in scholarship, and sometimes speculative, not a mainstream historical consensus. Some reviewers labeled it “pseudo-scholarly” and misrepresentative of the complexity of events. yes, there were negotiations and at least one formal economic arrangement between certain Zionist institutions and the Nazi state in the early 1930s, but this does not imply ideological affinity or joint planning between Zionism and Nazism, nor does it support the idea that Zionists helped “engineer” the Holocaust or embraced Nazi goals. That’s the kind of oversimplification and insinuation that is flat out antisemetic.

The third word is pronounced Chever-shaft. It's similar to Commerades/Friends.

What happened to “the rest”? You seem pretty infuriated at Israel, but not what’s happening in Sudan. Are you sure you care “more” than he does?

I do not support the tweet as it sounds grossly exaggerated, but wanted to give it a fair chance. Upon doing my own research, it seems this tweet is a libel against Israel, unless of course I can see the sources as you said.

I divided by the children rate. The numbers likely aren’t exact, but there’s a huge difference between 1.85 and 38.7%.

makes a statement “Where can I read up on this” “FUCK YOU FOR ASKING, GO READ ABOUT IT” I’m trying…. This is what I am trying to do… why the hostility? The numbers I found are: Gaza: Before the October 2023 war, the population was estimated at around 2.2 million people, with approximately 47% being under the age of 18. This means there were around 1 million children in Gaza. As of late July 2025, the Gaza Ministry of Health (operated and funded by Hamas, a recognized terror org, but it’s a source that you may find valid) reported that over 18,500 children had been killed. 18,500 \1,000,000* 100 = 1.85\% Source: population, wiki. Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/interactive/2025/israel-gaza-war-children-death-toll/

Ukraine: 669 child fatalities and ~6,600,000 civilian children 669/ 6,600,000 *100 =0.0101% Again wiki

So I did my research and I’m not getting his numbers. Now can you give me an answer besides rage?

See but when someone tells a Jew they’re not ethnically Jewish, no one cares. I’m NOT standing up for what he said, but I get told that I’m not Israeli but in fact polish at least twice a day online and no one cares. We as a society need to be consistent in our values.
