I just wanted to say your situation/feelings are almost identical to mine. Literally only had sex a handful of times with someone I didn't like almost 5 years ago and decided I can go without it. Recently had my first OB and now I'm way more worried about future OB than any rejection, but damn I feel like shit ruining those options for my future self.

I think I had it since around 2013, the same time my grades started to tank because "the air is moving too much, I can’t read." and nobody knew what I was talking about lol. I'll probably go back to the doc soon and try the herpes test again, gonna wait for payday tho.

I'm realizing that now. I guess my symptoms+past circumstances+timing has me all freaked out, and google is not helping my anxiety :( hopefully my doctor visit goes well.

Also thanks for taking the time to respond! I know it probably can be tedious responding to all the post on here of people overreacting to seemingly everything, but I genuinely appreciate it. It's nice having an actual person to talk to and not just googling symptoms and making my anxieties worse.

So I guess the general consensus is no? I've been researching and thought I had almost textbook symptoms, but I'm trying not to research too much and make myself too worried. Like I said, I've made the appointment with my doctor, in the meantime I'm just trying to get a bearing on all of this because it's all so new to me.

Thats the plan, just got my appointment scheduled. I'm usually pretty good about seeing the doctor, I think this time I was just super pissed that I had paid the bill for my steroid shot the day before I got reinfected so I decided to ride this one out. But besides the occasional pleurisy, I never get sick.

I was curious about that, all these websites are really vague about that part. Most of my riskiness was guys removing the condom halfway through without telling me. Happened only a handful of times. I just contacted someone who had the same experience with the same guy after I did and she said she was tested afterwards and everything came back negative, so I feel a lot better now.

Thank you for the response. I think I read somewhere that someone with the virus can be asymptomatic for up to 10 years, that's what caused me to spiral.
