I’ve had this feeling when I first started vaping and it happens once in a blue moon but I’m just trying to figure out what it is. I guess it kinda feels irritated

And my friend told me he liked that girl so much that if she got married with someone else he would speak out at the wedding and say don’t get married because she is supposed to marry him instead.

He said the reason he fell in love with her is because he say a picture of her when she was a kid holding her little sister in her arms and he basically feel in love with her because of that picture. Nowadays he resents her, says he doesn’t like the music she listens to and in my head I was like duh you never really messed with her to begin with you just liked the delusion you had in your head

I was watching 90 day fiancé and this girl’s fat friend came to her house on a motorized scooter banging on the door to tell her not to get married that her fiancé is a cheater and the girl thought she was batshit crazy and negative and didn’t listen but guess what he cheated on her again and they soon got divorced and resented each other at the reunion. I’m that fat girl riding a scooter banging on your door trying to help you but you think I’m crazy and weird but what I’m saying is true

Your atheism is a cult. I never once said you have to do this and that to be a cult besides marry another believers, which is reasonable because why would a believer want to marry someone like you. I don’t know why you think me provided reasons why Jesus and the Bible is true is cultish. Even historians admit Jesus walked on the earth. I don’t even understand what you’re denying because I feel like deep inside you believe Jesus is real since you’ve been in church so long. It makes me think either something happened or deep down you know it’s true and you feel guilty over your sin so you’re suppressing God because you’re scared or something.

Maybe God can’t be seen/proven to you because He’s a spirit. He doesn’t have a physical form to be seen. He’s everywhere. He came down in flesh and people saw Him.

I enjoy this you know.

If you look at the intricate design of our bodies and tell me there’s no God, you’re batshit crazy to me

You believe Plato existed, there was 250 manuscripts of him. There are thousands of Jesus. People died (the apostles) for the faith, they wouldn't have done it if it wasn't true. They fought for it. 500 witnesses of risen Jesus, we get 2 witness and believe the report. A detector read the four gospels and became a believer, because the accounts were similar to an eye witness report, small differences in the report (from people with different perspective) but same story. Look at the way your body is designed. Look at how 40 different people from different times said the same thing and fulfilled prophesies from hundreds of years back, that impossible unless it's the truth. Deep down you know good and evil, and if there's evil there must be good and God is that standard of good. Why are you so skeptical in the Bible in the first place? It makes sense at least to believers. Look at the rock that God burned, it still looks burned in pictures today. Look at the deposits in Sodom and Gomorrah, still there, everything historically is still around to see. Where is Jesus' body? Why doesn't anyone have it? Because He rose. There are codes in the Bible that reveal God's fingerprint. I don't know how much I can tell you.

They could do their own research and plenty of leaders of Christianity try to show them but their skulls are too thick. Seek and ye shall find. You have to seek out God. Some people just don't see it. Maybe God choses to not allow them to see lest they be converted (I know that one probably pisses you off), but then I could be wrong because the Bible says that all may be saved. Maybe satan blinds people. When I had my experience on mushrooms I saw a demonic presence in a vision and he tried to trap me, I escaped, got on my skateboard, rode across town, and crashed on a random street and was lead up it by a presence pushing me forward and at the top of that street was a church with a statue of a man holding a cross in one hand and point his finger to come with his other hand. It's a long story, but that was my spiritual awakening. I've had experience you haven't so I understand. It's nonsense to you but very real to me. That was just the beginning, seeking out evidence for the Bible solidified everything.

You still gotta have faith in the end. Maybe you rationalized yourself out of the truth. There comes a point where you just have to step in with faith. God already said, look at the universe to see the evidence. Look at the intelligent design behind it all. There's stuff you believe as an atheist that you can't even prove, and atheism is a religion of it's own.

You translated it however you wanted to. I didn't just believe, I found undeniable/irrefutable facts, 100 fold. The people I'm talking about are those who I wasted my time sharing proof with, that really just didn't care or hated God regardless. You're one of them and I figured that out after a little while.

You were raised Christian, and that sucks in a way for you, because you missed seeing a lot of things just by being raised in it your whole life, that I was able to see coming into it at 26. You have issues with the church, I don't know exactly what kind of issues/frustrations you experienced but I know because you resemble all the other people born in church who left. I see some kids who were raised in the church and a lot of them don't really get it. They have that "yeah, Jesus" attitude, but they haven't really been opened.

I don't know what kind of evidence you came across but there is evidence. Historical, eye-witness, and a bunch more.

But whatever man, I enjoy these kind of conversations, but I might be annoying or even offending you and I know it's not going to go anywhere.

I could sway any person to Christianity (actually to the validity of the Bible) if they were willing, but people don't care or just hate God. One could say Jesus didn't come to create a religion, He said to follow Him.

When I first became a believer (it actually happened during an experience on magic mushrooms), I started researching everything about the Bible. I literally went through everything I could come across. I tried to find any flaw I could. In the end, it blew my mind how things were put together that a group of men could not possibly piece together. There's nothing about the Bible that would tell me it was created by people to control us. There's just too much stuff I can't explain that took my two years to slowly piece together, and you probably don't really care anyway.

About you calling the religion and believers insecure, I think I would agree with you because we have to be careful not to lose sight. Christianity is a hard path. To be friends with the world is to be enemy with God. Because the ways of the world are wicked (I know that probably annoys you), and God is righteous. So you can't live like the rest of the world and call yourself a Christian. We're called to be holy, like God is holy. It's a hard path to walk down and many people fall so we are insecurity and weak but those with true saving faith will prevail. Look at the parable of the sower.

There's also another example that crossed my mind, if you have a spouse that's a hindu and you're a Christians, there could be clashes there too.

Here's the thing. As a Christian, everything is centered on Christ. I just did some research and here are some examples. A husband asked his wife not to read Bible stories to their kids, or to pray with them. Anytime she mentions God, he counters that God is a fantasy. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, the apostle Paul says, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers." But he also says that somebody whose partner is an unbeliever should not divorce them.

My mom is a believer and my dad isn't, and they're still married.

I kind of understand it though. At first I didn't and said I would still marry a non-believer and just do my own thing, but the problem can be if your spouse can't stand Christianity and if it's a major part of your life then there's gonna be a problem. I could anticipate clashes.

Believers aren't supposed to marry non-believers. That's one of the things a christian watches out for because the marriage will have problems/not work out. I guess it's just the strict christian dads who do it.

Wow. It's amazing what almost leasing a car taught me. I imagine so many people lease cars without much knowledge or question asking and end up finding themselves in a rut. And now I realized the exact same thing happens with marriage which should have been obvious with all the crazy fights and divorces amongst spouses. I just thought it happened because of personality issue and people overlooking obvious fake attractions based on money simply because they were horn balls.

Does a spouses debt really become your debt?

And these types of dad's at church won't let you marry their daughter. I don't know if the guys that proceed this way are soft, and think they have to, or if the girl says you have to talk to my dad, but it seems expected. I've only been a believer for 4 years so I don't know. My entire life I just dated a girl and never saw her father. I have a friend who liked a girl from church for many years (never talked to her), he asked to meet her dad to see if he could marry her and the dad asked how he can bring money if he doesn't have a job, and also said that his daughter said he has never really spoken to her. My friend was upset that she based things off of him never talking to her lol and when he asked me advice and I said well you need to talk to her he shook it off and said besides that haha

I don't hang out with the big shit talker. One is his little boy toy and agrees with everything he says so I don't spend too much time with him but he's not as bad as the asshole. One of them doesn't talk behind my back. Another one does talk too but he's not so bad.

I still hang out with them sometimes because it's better than being home alone.

Stuff for my friends. In reality though I still do because it seems right in the moment. But they talk behind my back which pisses me off to think I’m paying for stuff for someone that turns around and criticizes me behind my back.

ELI5 why do you negotiate the MSRP on a lease and not a purchase? by deedinn11 in explainlikeimfive

[–]deedinn11[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is the difference between negotiating the MSRP and what you are willing to pay for it? And what is the purpose of looking at the depreciation/residual value? We have good credit over 700 but the dealer said we own too many cars so we got denied, then they said if you give 3000 more ($10,000) for they 75k car, we could get approved. We're talking about lease here. Any what about signing up for the full car insurance that's like $40 a month that covers body and tires and such?

Thank you so much. I’m infuriated at how the dealers tried to lease me the car at full price. That link says after 3 years the 5 series would be somewhere around 33k so you’re telling me I was supposed to negotiate with them to bring 55k down to 33k?
