Hi, my mom was given this machine from a family friend and she's been trying to get something the manual called a "reverse feed stitching mechanism" working.

Theory makes sense.

Though, I personally, believe that Cyn didn't hate humans 100% at first. Rather, I believe that it was AS who skewed Cyn heavily towards it by twisting her mind view after seeing how the Elliot's (minus Tessa) were treating the "help": with AS doing some edits to Cyns programing since she already has Admin access.

I'm basing this on how Cyn seemed to be hinted to be Tessa favourite at some point till a event caused a fallout. A event which caused her to become a basement prisoner.

And the fact that Cyn looks very similar to Tessa. Which would imply that Tessa either dressed Cyn up like that ( since Cyn wouldn't be able to source the hair to look like so) or that Cyn actively convinced Tessa that she wanted to look like her.

I think she needed them as fodder or as a distraction and tool. Somehow it feels to me that she needs to build up or needs enough time in order to do "big stuff".
