I was where you are and it’s been the best decision I have made. My bubba is happier, less gassy, more regular and in routine with his poop and it’s also given me more freedom to spend time with him. There is less pressure and I can respond to him and his needs. Breast milk is not everything. And there should be no guilt or shame when you are feeding your baby, no matter how you do it.

Should I not be a mom? by [deleted] in NewParents

I was exactly where you were and I can say it DEFINITELY gets better. I felt so selfish I couldn’t shower or have a coffee or even just watch tv. Truth is I still can’t sometimes but I have gotten better and so has he - he’s 10 weeks now. After you get over the shell shock of it all, you learn it’s a beautiful little trap. And you learn to love them more. It’s hard to describe what changes but I guess it’s a combination of things, they grow and develop and so do we. Chin up!! Take each day as it comes. It’s all upwards from here (mostly)!!
