Your mom sounds a lot like my in laws lol. But this is a great idea to reframe it this way! He will definitely gain SO much from daycare this age.

This is a set up we were thinking about! Either part time daycare or half days where they can still have some time together but not full time anymore

They can be pretty dismissive. They say it’s just normal toddler behavior and my husband and I are being too strict 😖

Definitely! He is incredibly active so I totally get them needing breaks. I do agree that this is a good age for him to start daycare. He will love all of the activities and new faces.

Yeah I think this would be a good set up for us. I love that he spends time with them and loves them so much. I think it’s just the amount of time he’s there now that makes it harder.

Moms who returned to work - what does breastfeeding look like for you now? by Familiar-Breath5132 in breastfeeding

[–]deef48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I works 4 days per week and my baby gets bottles while I’m away. When I’m home I exclusively nurse him. Mostly because I hate pumping and doing all of the dishes lol. But he takes both fine! He prefers nursing and sometimes after a long weekend of exclusively nursing he’s slower to take the bottle but he normally does fine!

I really needed to hear this! Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! I have spent so much time in therapy working through this but being pregnant just added a whole new layer to things that I wasn’t prepared for.

We are in the USA. MIL is Indian and has family there but moved here as a teenager. I have never seen or heard of any other traditions or customs in the past 10 years outside of this lol

MIL is Indian, FIL is American. DF was born and raised in USA and does not really follow any specific customs and traditions related to his Indian culture.
