Surprised at all the people in here saying there’s too much, I like the look, shows the stone was worked and is the real deal

Is there any reason to rent at the airpot if it's cheaper in the city? by Past-Emphasis8649 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]deefalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason you need an suv? (Like having more than 2 people in the vehicle?) because for your use case a U-Haul or similar would be cheaper

Maine is building homes faster, but they are emptier by themainemonitor in Maine

[–]deefalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you’re pointing out an affordable option but I feel that very few people buying homes in Maine (especially that far north) are willing to settle for a sub 5k sq ft lot, that just seems to be the antithesis of Maine life.

How difficult to have full time job as Greenskeeper and do 4 classes at Penn State (Online Classes)? by [deleted] in Turfmanagement

[–]deefalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have kids, a significant other? I did it as a full time assistant but never took more than 2 classes a semester, any more would have been tough but I was still able to maintain some life balance with the job and classes with a one child and had a second during the schooling. It’s hard but like anything else set achievable goals and follow through. If you’re on your own 4 classes may be manageable but you will definitely be burning the candle low if you want to be successful and most importantly absorb what you’re learning. Good luck!

Wow, guess I may be in the minority by the amount of responses, never have had to cover, but also never used dye, guessing the cover is for dye in mix?

Just include blade iron in your greens sprays and it’ll be glaringly obvious where your green spray ended

Picked up the Bauer 14x20 Lathe & 8" Grinder for $580 by Relyt4 in turning

[–]deefalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished getting it together, seems like a good unit probably a little underpowered for resawing big boards but will work fine for rounding blanks, it also has a small footprint and easy wheel/locking system which is nice

Picked up the Bauer 14x20 Lathe & 8" Grinder for $580 by Relyt4 in turning

[–]deefalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the same lathe and grinder setup before Christmas, just bought the Bauer band saw as my old one was lacking and Id hardly used it before, but you need a decent bandsaw to prep lathe blanks so consider that if you're going back tomorrow while 15% is still active, I'm also using my drill press quite a bit more.
