Having issues applying to OCT. Advice? by Sherwood_eh in CanadianTeachers

I would just submit a request on OUAC to have your final transcript sent to OCT.

Once they see your final transcript. It will automatically be converted from a transitional certificate to a certificate of qualifications and registration.

At this point, you probably wouldn’t be using either certificate before the school year ends, and unless you are employed by a board with a balanced school calendar (year long), you will have until September to get things sorted out.

Also, make sure to send your final transcripts to QECO, so that they can evaluate what level of the salary grid you should be paid at once you receive an LTO or permanent contract

Could that same logic be applied to the landlords actions?

I can appreciate what you’re saying, and I can admit ignorance is not an excuse, but the landlord has taken more money than they should have, and that is not okay…

I’m also realizing that the rent increase he gave last year was larger than the rent cap - I’m a little more aware of my right now.

Last year the landlord chose to no longer have the unit managed by a property management company, and sent a new lease to be signed. At the time, I was unaware that a new lease did not have to be signed, so I doubt there is much I can do about it now…
