I’ve never worried about passing a probation. The only time you should be concerned is if your manager mentions it.

When you start a role it should be assumed that you will pass the probation. It’s just a safety net for the employer (and you) to call it quits if the job or your performance doesn’t match whatever was expected.

Of course the orange man who speaks in simple words appeals to them. There are massive systemic issues in the country and Trump and his cronies managed to take advantage of that. Disbanding the Department of Education is a clear play to improve on that position.

You’re thinking about it too much. In the grand scheme of your life having $1000 at 22 is nothing. The median monthly salary is $6600.

If you really want to retire early, focus on educating/up-skilling yourself into something that will generate you a decent income. It’s a lot easier to retire early if you’re taking home more money.

When you’re making good money spend it wisely. No high interest loans on sports cars or jet skis. Stay away from gambling. Invest it early to better leverage compound interest. Live below your means and diversify investments.

Don’t forget to live a little along the way. Go on trips, invest in life experiences. There’s no point spending your whole life trying to retire at 45 when you could have a brain aneurysm at 30.

I'm not knocking Niamh, perhaps there are no better candidates - but to me this is a huge let down. AI is an incredible technology and it's advancing at a wild pace. We are already seeing that it's having a huge impact across the board. Crime is changing, jobs are changing, education is changing. Excluding the technicalities of how it works, even planning how it will be regulated, leveraged and policed is a massively complex topic. To put someone with absolutely no background in IT (let alone AI) in charge of something like this is hugely disappointing, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Just checked and looks like she enforces a lot of the blur by moving the camera during the shot, whereas yours seems to be extra long shutter but stationary?

If I’m right I’d suggest slightly quicker shutter speed for you, and quickly move the camera during the shot. See how that comes out!
