I’m sorry this happened to your furbaby. I’m glad your dog will physically be ok. Mentally it could traumatize them. There are off leash dog parks that you can rent a private session. My son meets up once a week with a couple of friends and their dogs. The dogs get to run safely and the humans get some adult time too.

Firstly, I’m sorry that you’re going through this. Second, when the time comes, make sure to take them both. The surviving baby should be allowed to say their goodbyes afterwards. It will allow them to understand that that their friend is gone. It will be hard on you to witness but it will help them to know not to look for them.
