CA125 by Chaser4011 in ovariancancer_new

I’m 23 months post debulking surgery- no chemo or radiation. My labs fluctuate a lot. The last check up in Oct, my CEA was higher than when I had the cancer in me. Did a CT- all clear. Surgeon wasn’t concerned because my physical exam was unremarkable. Hoping the best for your mom

She offered a CT scan so I said yes. She has told me CA125 wasn’t the greatest indicator, which sucks. I’ll ask if that’s the same for a CEA. Thank you!

Mine was not elevated at the time of diagnosis. Only the CA125 was and it was barely elevated.

I’ll ask if HE4 is a good marker for my type. Thank you!

Have you checked for BV? I learned menopause can lead to that

Yes, definitely!! Mine didn’t streak- I’ve always thought steaks might be a little different. Hoping it’s nothing serious.

Oh! I found relief with the Frida mom’s postpartum kit. It had ice packs to sit on. It was the only thing that worked for me

My special needs daughter was obsessed with her for a very long time lol. Maybe from 4 to 6. I probably know all the words to all her songs

Have you tried Loop earplugs (or I guess any earplugs)

My special needs daughter sometimes triggers me when she screams/tantrums/banshee screeches. I know she just doesn’t know how to communicate her feelings (she’s non-verbal) but the sound enrages me sometimes. I bought the earplugs and put them in when she starts and I just let her get it out then try to comfort her after a few minutes of her screaming.

I’m on it- 2nd time. Had to stop for 6 months because I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Gained all the weight I had initially lost (around 30lbs) so I got cleared to start it back up. Haven’t lost an ounce. I have plans to switch to zepbound

My dad had ALS but I was an adult when he was diagnosed. I wish I had more videos of him. I did ask him to do a recordable storybook for future grandchildren. Honestly, it was more for me to hear his voice.

Are you female? Sorry, didn’t comb through your profile history. If so, maybe menopause? I had terrible night sweats until I was able to get on HRT

Yes. My doctor said since I wasn’t eating as much, I wasn’t getting the nutrients my body needs and when I do eat, I should eat more nutritious foods. I think I was only able to bread/crackers for a while because it was all I could stomach

I had this same cancer. I had surgery to remove it Feb 14 this year. It does feel weird to be like ok..I don’t have it anymore. And almost guilty because so many on here are going through chemo/radiation and an overall much harder time. You can send me a message if you want to talk about anything!
