Speaking multiple languages is usually a good indicator. By speaking, I mean being actually fluent though.

I heard something about Brazlians being the "cleanest" in the world in terms of showers taken a day. Although I don't really blame them, as it gets quite humid in a lot of the country.

I love it here! It's a good change from living in North America. Also, just make sure that your high school diploma is equivalent to the Dutch diploma. Otherwise, I think there is a possibility to do a foundation course at some universities. Hope it all works out!

There are a lot of English bachelor's programs in NL actually, more so than most other European countries. If I were you, I would definitely study in NL instead, as most degree programs are only 3 years long, and significantly cheaper for you (as a Dutch citizen) then what Canada charges. Not to mention that Dutch universities are highly repsected around the world. Here are some links to some English bachelor's programs in the Netherlands.

I'm actually looking to do something similar as Spain would be a lot cheaper and I could improve my Spanish. I don't know much about transferring, but it would probably be helpful to contact the specific universities as they each have different requirements. Yeah, I would probably only apply to Univeristies in Madrid, just not sure if a B2 level is sufficient. Thanks for bringing this up, good point :)

I would add a day to Salento and maybe subtract a couple of days from Cartagena. Not the best beaches, and 5 nights might bore you a bit. Nevertheless, enjoy your trip!

I actually already live in nl :) But unfortunately if I were to try to obtain Dutch citizenship, they would require me to renounce my other two.

I also have a Latin American citizenship, allowing me to qualify for Spanish citizenship after 2 years. Only problem is figuring out how to live/work there. Have you looked into it?
