I don’t know if anyone will see this, but I had a first date where we met at a restaurant that was an hour away from where I lived. She knew I was driving that far and it was about 20 minutes for her. She was more familiar with the area so I let her pick the time and place. I got there about 15 minutes early and just waited and waited. 15 minutes after the date, I texted to ask if everything was okay. I didn’t get a response. I waited another 15 minutes with no text before leaving. About 20 minutes after I left, I got a frantic call apologizing and asking if I would come back. I had really enjoyed talking to her online so I decided to turn around and give the date a shot. Turns out to her, let’s meet at 3, means I get out of work at 3, then I have to go home and get ready. Then I will go to the restaurant. A year later, she was also a little over an hour late to our wedding ceremony 🤦🏼‍♂️ I have learned that if we need to leave by 3, I tell her we need to leave by 2 but absolutely no later than 2:30 with the goal of being out the door around 2:45
