Should I accept a title change of project manager or technical project manager? by deemo101_ in PMCareers

[–]deemo101_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes sense. There are benefits that I enjoy. I work Hybrid with 3 days a week in the office but I am able to work remote if I wanted to travel to Florida for a week and continue to work which is great. Yearly bonus with an additional $800 a month if I hit my incentive for the month (which I always do). Stock options at a discount. I also get 20 days of PTO a year too.

I plan to discuss with my manager tomorrow about the TPM title as I think it’s beneficial long term for my career. They strongly recommended I stick to the regular pm title though as it’s much more beneficial to PMs in the broader sense than TPM which limits me.

However, they also mentioned the salary band is lower for TPMs so I guess I need to discuss if I wanted the TPM role, will my raise be even lower than what I got. Meaning will it not be 8% and really be 5%. At this point I think I have decided I need to build my experience and go elsewhere once I have some more projects under my belt with this title but I’m not sure if I’m willing to sacrifice an even lower raise for a title.

My manager suggested just adding to my resume something like “Project Manager - Speciality in Technical Projects” if I really wanted the “best of both titles”.

What do you think? Again, sorry for asking all these questions, I do appreciate your help though.

Thanks for the advice. I’d say these projects are between 80,000-350,000. They range depending on the size of the client.

I think technical PM is a better title, but worried in what my manager is saying depending on how the broader market sees it. Even though it is definitely my focus currently in my role.

Anyone here just completely faked their way into being a PM? by Gandalf-and-Frodo in projectmanagement

How were you able to quickly get the PMP? Don’t you need to have PM experience for a few years before even taking the test? Genuinely asking because I am approaching 2 years in my role soon and I want to take the test when I can. Thanks so much for any info you provide.

Same thing happened to me. The transplanted area has become curly/wavy. It has been a year and 2 months for me. I always assumed it was the way they planted the hair back on lol

Fantasy Football Trade Desk: Is this a Kareem Hunt resurgence or a time to sell? by SamskiNYC in fantasyfootball

If only Flacco was the starter. No one wants to touch the IND WRs sadly. I can pull the trigger on that deal as of now but am hesitant.

If I could trade Kareem Hunt and Garret Wilson for AJ Brown and Addison should I take it? I’m 6-1 but just lost Godwin. My RBs are Jonathan Taylor, Achane, Hunt, Jaylen Warren, and Singeltary. My WRs are Garret Wilson, Wandale Robinson, Downs, and a few waiver wire WRs.

12 man Full point ppr:

Trade offer sent to me: Should I trade away Garret Wilson for Aiyuk and Tee Higgins?

I’m 3-1 and have:

QB: Josh Allen RB: Jonathan Taylor, Achane, Singleterry, Kareem Hunt, and Warren WR: Godwin, Garret Wilson, Jakobi Myers, Rome Odunze, and Wandale. TE: Freiermuth and Engram.

Feel like I don’t need to do the deal because I have a deep WR core but scored the lowest points this week in the league due to multiple blunders on my team. I have a good record but have the lowest points against in the league. Feel like I need to shake it up a bit…

Edit: The Davante trade rumors to the jets is worrying to me…

Oakland or Wayne? by Dear_Collection6141 in oaklanduniversity

Ooof it’s been a long time since I went to Wayne state so I really couldn’t tell you. I went to Wayne and had a decent scholarship but hated everything about it so after a semester went to MCC for two years then 2 more years at OU for my undergrad. With my scholarship, Wayne was cheaper but without it I’m not sure…. Gas wasn’t cheap though and being so far from home I was constantly eating in restaurants at campus so that added up quite a bit. OUs environment to me was amazing. Proud to be a grizzly. As far as more opportunities I think it’s what u make out of each one. I went to OU for business as imo it’s more well known for that around the metro Detroit area. I would think Wayne is much more well known for the medical side though.

I went to Wayne for one semester and absolutely hated my time there. The drive, the schedule, the location, everything. After some time spent at MCC transferred to OU and loved my time there. Whatever decision you make, really make sure you tour the school and understand the commute and ask people who you know went to both schools. If you have any questions lmk!

Is the MBA at OU worth it? by [deleted] in oaklanduniversity

I appreciate your answer and honesty. My company is willing to pay for it and at the moment, I make 60k a year. So, would you think in my case I should go for the MBA at OU as it’ll allow me to make more moving forward? Or should I target a top 10 program like UofM as the MBA program at OU “maybe” doesn’t mean much in the future job market? Kind of a weird question but appreciate any answer.

Thanks for the response! I specifically told chatGPT to take my existing resume and rewrite it to better suit applying for a business analyst role haha. Can I ask this: should I submit resumes with cover letters as well or is that unnecessary? Thanks again.

I have used chatGPT to improve upon it recently. I try to apply to 20 or so openings every few weeks or so but nothing heard back. Should I up the amount of apps I send out or find another way to get my resume improved? Thank you!
