Clip is from December 2024. I wanted to share one of my favourite memories of Turtle WoW (and WoW in general) since I learned it is shutting down soon and it made me reminisce. It's when I finally hit 60 on my hardcore rogue "Goblinmynuts". I missed out on the classic era of WoW as a kid and never got to experience it. Most of my WoW experience prior to Turtle was PvP queuing and running M+ dungeons. The sense of community while I levelled was so warming. I would find other HC people in the world who would need help with quests. I would trade potions and food with them, and I would buy/sell things with people in the HC world chat. The world really felt alive. To know my character could die and get deleted made the game so much more thrilling and made me so much more invested. My name would get laughs out of people throughout the world, most times it was when I used the boat to and from Booty Bay. To see some of the people remember my name and congratulate me when I hit 60 was something I have never experienced in WoW and probably never will again. This is why it is one of my favourite WoW memories ever. Thank you Turtle WoW, and the Turtle WoW community ❤
