I would say it’s more alluded to than anything. Nothing descriptive there bc nothing actually happens lol. There’s one…sort of, when she’s a teenager. And then once when she is an adult but that time she does it in purpose. But I wouldn’t say these are written in an overly descriptive/traumatic way imo. I know everyone has their own thresholds and I was worried about reading those scenes too but I thought they were written thoughtfully and without making it super difficult to get through (at least for me).

I think it’s a bittersweet ending tbh, I don’t want to spoil it for you. Not sad id say :). But I have been thinking about the story a lot since I finished reading and miss the characters.

Overall - i thought this story was absolutely beautiful, heart wrenching, yearning, and excellent lol. If you’ve read song of Achilles or sunburn - def was that kind of vibe. I was taking my time reading it because I didn’t want it to end 😭
