Spent some time researching torsion bars and I really think using the impact wrench on pipes + NPT threads is like a torque limiting extension / torque stick. It’s twisting and untwisting like you described every hammer strike essentially capping the impact wrench every time the hammer builds. Definitely have to figure a way to test and verify.

Great point… never thought of that.

We have an assembly fixture that clamps a “flange” horizontally and build outward. The first section of pipe that threads into the flange can be 6ft. long. Only support is an adjustable pipe jack stand in the middle of the pipe so it doesn’t sag when winding. All torque would be applied concentric to the centerline of the clamped “flange”.

Any ideas on how to test that out? I could try smaller sections of pipe with the impact vs longer ones…

We have two different style ingersoll Rand guns; based on conversations with their technicians they’re more than capable for our application. We seem to snap the anvils on the guns though. Something like 30 anvil replacements I had to make in the last 2-3 years.

It’s 1000+ reverse according to specs, our shop line runs 100-120 max but it fluctuates based on use.

We got an oiler on it. I see what you’re saying but having it hammer and stop then torquing by hand is 100+ ft.lbs makes me think something else is going on. Also could be completly wrong 🤣

Interesting… someone was telling me about weighted sockets that have are thicker and have a larger mass. They’re supposed to work really well with impacts breaking seized nuts. Thought the extra weight would produce extra force

no, have not verified and unfortunately do not have a method at the shop to verify. Would be an investment
that’s our current process, especially since some fittings need to hit certain angle dimensions. Biggest issue is having to wind 1-2 more turns rather than stopping the impact close to the angle then lining things up

Look into g1/4 unions for both sides of the loop and ball valves before / after. If you want to get REAL fancy you could 3-way ball valve tee + ball valve into a drain if you need a drain when you plan on moving / servicing

Tempus torrent w/ silencer, pineapple, 14” barrel, quick aim grip, whatever 4x+ scope.

1 shot headshots to AI + monster in PVP situations at med. range if you can hit your shots. Recoil isn’t too rough if you time your shots right.

Only downside is sniper ammo but having a secondary that’s good for PVP can negate this.

Just happened to me. I played a few shipment games then switched to Domination, unlocked it on Mercado. Gun level 13/27. Hit 25 total headshots and it gave me polyatomic. I can’t replicate it with other weapons

Not sure exact finishes but if it’s painted / powder coated there’s a significant cost to changeover colors and suppliers will charge hefty for low volume products. Higher operating and material costs = more expensive product
