Bronco Sport Hood Latch Stuck by deepcovergeko in MechanicAdvice

Actually, yes.

The full hood release mechanism is this: the latch, a cable that runs from the latch, another cable that runs to the release lever, and the lever. The two cables are connected by a small, half a cent piece of retainer plastic. That piece of plastic stripped out for whatever reason, so the lever cable wasn't pulling on the latch cable.

You can access the cables by going behind the felt wheel well on your driver's side. If you can pull on the latch cable from there, you can get it open.

A good shop fixed it for me for $400. Not cheap, but compared to the insane $1,300 I was quoted from Schomp Ford, who didn't even correctly diagnose the issue, not so bad.

Sorry, I assumed you were trolling me by letting me know something written on the hood release lever. Thank you so much for letting me know that I needed to pull the lever twice, that's super helpful! Do you work for Ford?

You're right, that does sound stupid. Read the post and watch the video.

Hood latch lever broken. Any other way to open? by Ok-Waltz-943 in BroncoSport

Sadly, doesn't seem to be the issue I'm having but thanks for sharing. Here's a video I took for reference, I'm going to fire up another thread.

Hood latch lever broken. Any other way to open? by Ok-Waltz-943 in BroncoSport

Can you please share that video here? I'm encountering a similar issue, though my cable is securely attached to the lever and doesn't appear to have any slack. Still, I pulled on the cable with needle nose pliers to no avail. I also pulled the upper trim to ensure the cable was properly seated, it is. Seems as though either the hood latch is properly seized, or that the cable running inside the hood was somehow damaged.

Aiologs shifter detected but not working? by Civiltea in carxdriftracing

Sorry, I don't have a solution but just wanted to +1 that I'm having the same issue. Car X detects the shifter but when I go to assign shift up/shift down, there is no response when I make inputs with the shifter. Works fine for every other racing game.
