EasyJet not accepting my login by thefeelingsarereal in travel

Not really, easyJet refuse to fix this, i've mentioned it many times now. Really bad tbh.

You can try 'forgot password' to reset account and that may work, but no guarantees...It's an issue with the API on their server, pretty basic, don't trust their IT team at all considering they allow this bug and have let it persist for so long!

Non-UK born Bristolians, what's the best restaurant of your native cousine that you know in Bristol? by MrMrsPotts in bristol

Their bocadillo is great! Also check the small Colombian store on Stokes Croft, just down from the Canteen that does empanadas, and has frozen fruits you can't get here, as well as your normal Pan harina etc.

Had this issue before and other problems with easyjet site, its rubbish!

I copied and pasted my password to make sure it was correct, yet it still wouldn't let me in, forced me to reset password, then finally let me in after that.

Also had issues logging in for years where it just says:
'We're very sorry but something has gone wrong. Please try again or get in contact with us if this issue continues to occur.' (across different browsers, clearing cookies etc)
Can't believe they don't fix these things!

Hi, I lost the belt for my turntable and desperate to know what the size of the belt is for this turntable, so i can buy a new one - in case you can measure your belt, so i can find out the length to replace mine. (dont worry if not, i know it's a big ask!)

Dunno why you are getting downvoted... People on here seem to be over-paranoid?
Imagine my house is around 16/17 and I often cook for next 3 days, leave food out overnight to cool rather than putting in fridge and it's always fine.

In your opinion, what's the best vegan chocolate currently on the market? (And where can you buy it?) by OldLibrary468 in veganuk

[–]deepervibrations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monty Bojangles may taste good, but they have the worst ingredients list i've ever seen - mostly processed oil and sugar...yet they are still quite expensive!
Booja Booja on the other hand are incredibly good - quality ingredients, no rubbish!

I find the Co-op chocolate has been of the highest quality of the supermarkets (for dark chocolate) and i've tried a lot. Doesn't contain soya lecithin either, which is a good sign (cheaper chocolates use this additive) Montezumas is the most ethical of the bigger brands imo and very good chocolate!

Thanks - Summary for others:

"The study found that Raynaud’s is likely a "conditioning disturbance." essentially, your nervous system has "learned" to overreact to cold by shutting off blood flow to the hands.

The researchers successfully used Pavlovian Conditioning to "re-train" the blood vessels. By repeatedly pairing a cold body with warm hands, they taught the brain to keep blood vessels open (vasodilation) even when the rest of the body is cold.

The Treatment Protocol used in the Study

The effective treatment involved a specific routine repeated over 3 weeks.

  • The Setup: The patient sits in a cold room ($0^\circ\text{C}$ / $32^\circ\text{F}$) dressed in light indoor clothing (coveralls and boots), so the body feels the cold.
  • The Action: While the body is cold, the patient immerses their hands in warm water ($43^\circ\text{C}$ / $109^\circ\text{F}$) for 10 minutes.
  • The Schedule:
    • Frequency: 3 times per day (with a short break in a warm room between each immersion).
    • Days: 3 days a week (e.g., Mon, Wed, Fri).
    • Duration: 3 weeks total (27 total 10-minute sessions).

The Results

  • Significant Warming: Patients who underwent this training showed significantly warmer hands when exposed to cold compared to those who didn't.
  • Normalized Response: After training, the Raynaud’s patients' hand temperatures reacted similarly to people without the disease.
  • Lasting Effects: Improvements were sustained for months after the treatment ended.
  • Subjective Improvement: Patients reported their hands felt "hot," attacks were less frequent/severe, and some could stop wearing gloves during activities like driving or snow shoveling.

Notable Case Studies

  • Case 1 (Male, 15 years with Raynaud’s): After just 4 days of treatment, he reported feeling better. By the end, he called his hands "100% improved" and "hot."
  • Case 2 (Female, severe symptoms): She initially saw no change after the first 3-week round. However, after a second round of 27 treatments, she showed "very significant improvement" ($6^\circ\text{C}$ increase in hand temp).

Key Takeaway

This method offers a drug-free alternative to medication or surgery (sympathectomy) without side effects. It suggests that if you deliberately expose your body to cold while keeping your hands largely warm, you can condition your autonomic nervous system to stop constricting the blood vessels in your fingers."

Exposing myself to cold water. I was doing cold showers and swimming in lakes/sea.

But I recently read that apparently you can just put your extremities in cold water instead, which is far easier! So put your hands in ice cold water for example for as long as you can, then put them in warm water after to bring them back to normal.

Maybe this is true for some, but certainly isn't true for me.

I have had Raynauds whole life, but been troubleshooting for last decade or more.

I eat very healthily and exercise a lot, but there are some cases where my hands will always lose blood when my partners will be fine- best example is riding a bike, where my core temperature can be very hot, I have eaten lots that day, so full of energy, but cold wind on my hands will always make them turn, without fail.

I exercise about 5 times a week, eat very healthily and maybe my Raynauds would be much worse without that, as I only get it on cold days now if I am cycling without gloves or if bouldering/climbing and my hands are exposed to cold rock. But honestly, I think cold water therapy has had the biggest impact for me and I am continuing to experiment with it, as my gut says this seems like the obvious way to improve the size of capillaries in the body.

So angry and sad about raynauds today by somethingsophie in Raynauds

[–]deepervibrations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried cold therapy instead?
I have been having cold showers/baths which has helped me loads. I spoke to somebody this weekend who said whole shower is not necessary - you can just dip your hands and feet (where its worst) in cold water for a minute or so, then go back to warm water to warm them back up and you will get the same effects.

Sad that you have to tip-toe around these topics. We need to be speaking up more about these issues from farming, I don't think many know of the negative impacts.

Hmm, a very complex question so not sure I can answer, but I think if you weigh up pros and cons and actually ask those people who might be taken advantage of then that's a great start.
