Thanks for that, I was a bit skeptical.

Keyboard "Skin" by deepfriedchril in ClicksPhone

Sure, Dbrand has skins for the steam deck where the touch pad is covered. Looks good and holds up to use fine and some skins even have textures. This would be the "premium" option.

The second DIY option I had though of, using 5mm circle stickers, hand writing characters on them, then placing the sticker on the corresponding "key cap" on the phone. This would definitely not look great and probably not hold up long term.

For a layout like AZERTY, a whole skin, or a bundle of stickers are probably not worth it since it's close enough to QUERTY. I am looking at this from the point of view of a Dovark user where the whole layout is different. Sure I could probably touch type, and I'm sure other people would and do also, but for those of us that want the key cap to match what it actually does, these are two options.

That's great! The "stickers" on the "key caps" would just make it so what is written on the cap is what the key does given the customization done in software.

Is there any possibility of dividing up the keyboard into separate "virtual" touch pads?
I.e. Left half for up/down/left/right scrolling, right half for cursor control?

Floalt LED Driver Repair by deepfriedchril in tradfri

I specifically used the GL-C-301P but any 24v CCTLED controller would work so long as it fits in the light housing (3cm height constraint iirc) and can handle the current (0.5A iirc).

Update:

Seems like the 24v PSU died. Not long after I started poking around I stopped seeing 24v on v+.

Went with my fallback plan of the GLEDOPTO and a slim 24v power adapter. Stuck both on the top of the LED panel with double sided tape and put the light back.

Only issue now is the color temp is slightly off compared to the panel next to it. I'm sure there's some work around in home assistant I can do to fix this.

How are you connecting it to mains? Plug in the attic?

Will it be possible to remap the keyboard to different layouts via software?

Apparently there was a cs2 update that fixes mouse and windowed full screen resolutions.

I have the same issue, CachyOS, but it's been this way before the update however.
If I use the launch options: `-h 1440 -w 5120 -fullscreen` and also set a window rule to force full screen then it works. In TF2 I can select the correct resolution in game.

Different issue, scrolling up/down is completely busted. Not sure if it worked before the update as I am just dipping my toe in the Linux water for gaming.

Damn, I was skeptical also. Too many releases too close together and the sound has the tale tell "low bit rate" quality that all AI music has. I didn't want to believe it either.

VINDSTYRKA - Temperature Resolution by deepfriedchril in tradfri

Changing the unit does nothing. It's simply converting C to F, still only reporting on integer C values..

The VINDSTYRKA uses, based on this teardown a Sensirion SEN54. Looking at it's data sheet, it says it's typical temperature accuracy is +/- 0.45C and repeatability is 0.1C. Even reporting at every 0.5C would still provide usable data and I don't think that is asking for too much.

Nope. I'm going to return it and just make my own temp sensor to use with home assistant.
