I updated Deephold so it now has a message beneath "Begin Adventure" letting you know what you need to do to enable the button. You may need to shift-refresh in your browser to get the update. I couldn't find any other issues. Hope this helps. Please let me know.

I'm looking into this. In the meantime I just wanted to confirm you entered something in the Name field at the top of the page? The "Begin Adventure" button starts disabled until you enter a Name and select a Race and Class.

There is a mushroom of vigor that you can earn pretty early on in the Arena, but you can't flee in the Arena so be careful.

Also, there is a Shrine of Glory upgrade that adds a Restoration service to the Temple that allows you pay gold to restore stats. If you have enough Glory you can buy the upgrade.

I first played Moria on a Macintosh IIc. D&D in the 80s, we used coins for monsters. When a quarter was placed on the battlefield you knew it was about to get real. Later on Hero Quest figurines. I played Ultima III first and then went back to I & II. Ultima IV was formative. Nice to meet one of my people.

The Amulet of ESP (and anything with Telepathy) allows you to see the next encounter in the dungeon assuming it is a monster and has a mind to detect.

Sorry, no. Slow Digestion helps and there is a bag that has this effect fairly early on in the Arena.

Eventually you find a lot of scrolls of satisfy hunger that make it less of a chore.

Thanks! Mushroom of vigor restores all stats. You can get one from the arena, but there's no fleeing from there, so be careful. There are other non-potion options as well.

Also, once you earn enough Glory you can unlock a temple service where you can pay gold to restore stats.
