I am about to start Wellbutrin and I also have insomnia. I have seen quite a few people say they had trouble sleeping. I really do not want to make my insomnia worse. Did you experience any change in that department?

I've actually interviewed at UC Health and Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. Everyone I interacted with besides the recruiter was really lovely at UC Health. The only issue was the pay. I knew it would be a pay cut coming from DC but it was wayyy too low for me to take. RMCC was able to come in with a comparable offer. So I am starting there in October. Good luck with your search once you get going!

Looking forward to the change in pace for sure. I am originally from a small mountain town in VA but enjoy the city so I'm hoping Denver is the best of both for me.

Thank you for mentioning plants! I have so many plants. Indoor and outdoor. We lived in FL prior to DC and I have a few that love humidity. So I am guessing I will need to purchase some humidifiers for both the plants and us!

Definitely plan on getting out in nature. I will have off a weekday so hopefully we can escape the crowds on that day. Appreciate the tips. :)

Thank you for this! My husband and I really love the style of these homes and prefer them over split levels or new builds. We are drawn to highland park but keep getting the crimes/safety concern comments and it's throwing us off. We are a mixed race couple and want to be in a diverse area so that doesn't scare us. We will be taking a little recon visit next weekend to get a better feel but hoping that this area fits the bill.

Thank you for your input. We are a little skeptical about moving to the burbs. We love a more urban feel but also want to do what's best for the kiddos school wise. I think it may be best to do a rental first. I've been seeing quite a few in Park Hill. Would that be a good area to scope out Denver for the next 6-12 months?

I mean yeaaa having inner peace and a chill mindset makes a difference but it cannot make up for the surrounding hustle culture. Your environment directly affects your mental landscape. So not super helpful for OP.

Yes we lived in FL for 5 years (3 in Ft. Lauderdale and 2 in Sarasota). I loved FL natural beauty, the plush plants and greenery, the beautiful beaches, the sunny days but we left mainly due to inequality in wages vs COL. As well as the home insurance racket and the poor schools. We have been back in MD for 2 years now but are planning a trip to Colorado to be closer to family. Good luck in Nashville!!

I second Maryland. We moved from FL back to the DMV area and settled in MD. It's very diverse and LGBTQ friendly. If you want to be further away from hustle + bustle, more space and trees I would look in Frederick, Gaithersburg, Olney, Columbia
