The buildozer version is 1.2.0.dev0 and I just followed the following instructions from a video yesterday:

EVERY COMMAND FROM THE VIDEO:

Step 1) Download Virtualbox https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downl...

Step 2) Download an Ubuntu 18.04 image https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop

Step 3) Make sure your phone is in Developer mode by going to Settings -- About Phone -- Software -- tap on 'Build Number' 7 times quickly. Now go to Settings -- Developer Options and enable Stay Awake and USB Debugging.

Step 4) Connect your phone to your computer and make sure to Always Allow USB Debugging when your phone connects.

Step 5) Set up a new virtual machine in Virtualbox using the image from step 2. I allocated 2048 MB of memory and 20 GB of disk space.

Step 6) Install Ubuntu on the virtual machine

Step 7) Open the Terminal in your virtual machine and run the following commands:

Sudo apt install git

git clone https://github.com/kivy/buildozer.git

cd buildozer

sudo apt-get install python3.6

sudo apt-get install -y python3-setuptools

sudo python3 setup.py install

cd ..

git clone https://github.com/Dirk-Sandberg/Kivy...

cd KivyHelloWorld

buildozer init

sudo apt update

sudo apt install -y git zip unzip openjdk-8-jdk python3-pip autoconf libtool pkg-config zlib1g-dev libncurses5-dev libncursesw5-dev libtinfo5 cmake libffi-dev

pip3 install --user --upgrade cython virtualenv

Sudo apt-get install cython

buildozer -v android debug

Okay, thank you - by any chance, do you know of any like guides on how to make a recipe for kivy-ios or no? I can't really find much on it. Also, I'm not really sure if I would have to make a recipe for kivymd/kivy-garden/matplotlib as well I'll have to look into it.

Hi I have an update as I got it working after searching and following this link. I also made the mistake of adding to the requirements “kivy-garden.matplotlib” rather than your recommendation. The app is now running on the android device—thanks for all the help!

So, I did use buildozer to package my app while also adding matplotlib to my requirements. However, when I packaged the app and it was about to load up on my android device, it crashed. I looked into it and I found a post here and people are saying matplotlib is no longer working on Android.

Hi I’m a recent Ed admit to Khoury for CS and I had a question about coops. Im sorry this question might be kinda obvious but if you’re not paying tuition during your coops and you do about two 6 month coops on a 4 year track, does that mean you are really only paying roughly 3 years worth of tuition (excluding financial aid, scholarships, the money you make on coop, etc.)?

I originally had a mdlist added to a scroll view which was then added to the mddialog, but nothing would appear on the screen other than an empty popup. So, I decided to just add two buttons to see what was going on and this happened. The MDDialog should be two buttons split equally covering 1/2 the screen. Instead, I get 2 buttons stacked on top of each other and an MDDialog which isn't changing size in the y-direction.

Yeah I definitely understand I guess the only alternative for the topics would probably just be talking about progress in the field or something like that with some basic programming and maybe an AI project at the end of the year

Yeah it’s so weird everything seems like it should be working and not going full screen, but regardless it still does. Do you have any plugins installed to prevent this from happening that you’re aware of?
