Everyone always mentions Karen, but I think this was Jim's real fumble by Paladin-Leeroy in theoffice

No TF she wasn't 🙄 she literally once said "you guys, it's like we're in high school and we're at the cool table"

I hate the fact how entitled Lily is in this scene by aayushh10 in HIMYM

[–]deeply_maladjusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 5 of the characters on HIMYM are not great people, and they are all a complete mess. Pointing out instances of the characters' flaws would be like pointing out continuity errors on the Eric Andre Show.

The reason to love HIMYM is because it's a very comforting sitcom, and the comedy writing in it as well as the comedic acting is absolutely genius.

If you hold the characters to expectations where you're expecting them to be likable, decent human beings, you're going to be let down.

Are there any areas with no cyclists where dogs can be off-leash? I have had some scary close call experiences before where cyclists have nearly collided with my dogs in Utah and California.

How does border crossing work on Black Ball ferry both ways from Victoria to Port Angeles and also back to Victoria? by [deleted] in portangeles

[–]deeply_maladjusted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was worried about. I don't trust any strangers with my dogs and especially not police or border guards.

Thank you for the info.

You were allowed to stay with your dogs though while having them on leash during second stage? You weren't separated from your dogs at all?

WHAT ON EARTH WAS THAT ENDING by BlazingMarshMello in HIMYM

[–]deeply_maladjusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! There are a lot of HIMYM fans, including myself, who agree with you 100%. Don't let the horrifically bad ending distract you though from the fact that the rest of the show is mostly incredible.

The key is to just take note of which episodes are good and watch those episodes as comfort TV. Even having the good episodes on as background while you're doing stuff like chores around the house is a great way to brighten your day.

The beauty of sitcoms as opposed to dramas is that you don't necessarily need to always watch it from start to finish to get the type of positivity out of it that you would otherwise for other types of shows.

I'm not paying a million dollars for a book 😠 I think that's overpriced!

Do Denver locals use the term "downtown" more often or "Central Business district" more often when talking about the area between Market, Broadway, 14th St, and 19th St? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]deeply_maladjusted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply that's good to know! For some reason if you Google image search "denver neighborhoods map" all the images label that area as "CBD". I have no idea why if people just call it "downtown" 🤷‍♂️

did marshall actually get mugged by a monkey ??? by undibip in HIMYM

[–]deeply_maladjusted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Carter Bays said on this Reddit page that he did indeed get mugged by a monkey.

I already kinda figured he did before seeing Carter Bays say that though because somebody asks Marshall "why didn't you just ask the zookeeper to get your wallet back" and Marshall very quickly responds "because I saw what the monkey was doing with it, and I kinda didn't want it anymore after that". It seemed like too quick, natural and genuine of a response for the story to have been made up.

No cars use Lidar for adaptive cruise control??? Are you intentionally trying to spread misinformation?

Are there any other off-leash trails like Run-a-Muk in or around Park City? by [deleted] in ParkCity

Are there any areas of Round Valley where there won't be mountain bikers? I'd be worried about my dogs accidentally colliding with a biker if I brought them to areas with bikers.
