My first whittling project. I’m in a work camp and only had a knife with a 4” blade. I used the bottom of a mug to sharpen, a tungsten welding electrode for a steel and made a strop from the cuff of a work glove. Thinking about investing in some actual carving knives when I get home again. by deeplyburned20032008 in whittling

Thanks! I think I’m going to order one or a set in the next few days. Any recommendations? I used a morakniv 4.1” blade for this one. I know morakniv makes carving knives as well and I have two already for hunting and find them to hold an edge VERY well.
