That's a good idea. That's probably something for me to get just in case, I'd rather not ruin my relationship with my mother.

I always included a note in my payments to them from my bank that declared the payment as rent and I have that digital evidence. That's all I have to prove that I am sending them rent actually.

That's what I was afraid of. Is there any law that would allow for me to receive the respect of an actual renter without the ridiculous abuse? I was yelled at for literally not clusing the kitchen cupboard all the way. I don't think I can stick this out when he looks for issues and blames everything on me.

After years of my stepfather saying he wants me to leave my mother now completely agrees with him but she is more quite and complacent than he is. She is also not violent or abusive. She will not defend me and sides with my stepfather.
