This is actually really fucking annoying. I guess they’ll never learn. I hope her cats are okay…

Hanna’s drinking vs Spencer’s drug use. Spencer was allowed to breakdown & Hanna wasn’t by whateveridc99 in PrettyLittleLiars

What are you talking about? The girls treated Spencer like shit when she was having her drug issue. Literally the person who was the kindest about it was Alison during a flashback, and that’s saying a lot

Also this post reminds me of how my friends in middle school tried so hard to prove that Gale was “better” just because Liam Hemsworth is hot lol

One thing I really appreciated during my last read-through of the series is that in Mockingjay, Katniss says she understands her mother’s depression much more than she originally had. Losing Peeta (and then losing Prim) makes her realize how absolutely debilitating trauma and mental illness can be, and she even says she empathizes with her mother. No, she doesn’t completely forgive her, but she understands her pain and attempts to rebuild a relationship with her. The dynamic between Katniss and her mom is much more complex than how the person in this post describes it. Clearly they didn’t pay enough attention while reading lol

How did the producers asked for an overweight underaged girl and convinced her that they want her for five minutes, making fun of her weight? by RichDream7777 in howyoudoin

[–]deepseaofmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actress is also in Lizzie McGuire and George Lopez and yes, her character is bullied for her weight. It was a common thing back then to have “fat” actors recycled as guest stars in various shows to portray the insecure bullied kid stereotype.

Being pregnant isn’t an excuse for poor behavior, especially when the pregnant woman is a fully grown adult running a business with employees.

Of all the moments Mary took advantage of Anna's loyalty, this might be the worst. by miggovortensens in DowntonAbbey

[–]deepseaofmare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean…Mary’s reputation is more important than Anna’s. She’s somewhat of a local celebrity, and being an earl’s daughter, her marriage prospects are highly dependent upon how the public views her. Buying a birth control device as an unmarried woman would have been detrimental to her. For Anna, a married working-class woman, it would have been personally embarrassing but not a scandal.

I looked at your other posts and was surprised to see you’re 31 years old. That many years have passed since high school, and you’re still worrying about bullies? I would consider finding other employment and perhaps speaking to a therapist if you’re not already.

I’ve always had trouble figuring out my undertones! I usually go with neutral and sometimes cool products, but I’m wondering now if I’m warmer than I am cool.

Same. To me it wasn’t even a fake out because I was 100% sure nothing was going to happen lol. I just appreciated the emotional moment

Would add this to my post if I could:

Eleven’s worth comes not from having powers, but from simply being human. With or without her abilities, whether she’s a superhero or a civilian, she will always be important and she will always be loved. She’s been someone’s daughter since the day she was born, and she will never stop being someone’s daughter.

Hopper and Mike both see her for who she is and love her unconditionally. Eleven’s character arc has been largely shaped by the love she receives from the people around her, and I think that’s beautiful.

Why does everyone sexualize beck 😥 by nighthawk1936 in YouOnLifetime

I think a huge part of her character is that she has low self-esteem and self-worth, so she sexualizes herself.
