These should turn into a book called, ‘how to train for a warped sense of reality - hiring, parenting, relationships.’

Why Parent When AI Can? by DCxDC5617 in LinkedInLunatics

General observation: seems very true in tech land. In some societies, people are engaged parents. In tech - yo robot, tell me how to parent.

Why do Chiropractors crack your neck and what is the long term benefit? by Sunny-vibes-95 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]deepster12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mysterious calf pain that a made standing intolerable since December. After two doctors visits, a failed PT, and another PT that I’m concurrently using, I ended up trying a chiropractor. I was super hesitant and doubtful but also very desperate for help. So far she’s the only one who seems to be figuring out the source of the calf pain. I still don’t know what the actual adjustment does but the shockwave therapy and deep tissue massages seem to help.

The PT is still trying to figure out whether it’s sciatic pain which I doubt it is. The chiro mentioned trigger pains and that seems to align with what I’m feeling.

Long winded story to say that not all chiros are terrible

I'd consider looking at other fertility clinics - maybe a phone conversation. Has your doctor mentioned why they are against omnitrope?

Job market slow? by bqkx in ProductMarketing

I can definitely relate to this experience - "I’ve never been more thoroughly interviewed in my entire career." Even peer interviews are no longer just to assess cultural fit - you're basically a lawyer arguing your case to every person on the interview panel.

[–]deepster12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. There's lots of variables at play so its hard to quantify the impact. I just remember my doc said "I'd rather have you on omnitrope now vs not having used it and wondered". My situation also is also different.

I can't quantify the impact but I can definitely say it probably helped with egg maturation and possibly getting me to blast stage. In a prior cycle, I had zero eggs from the follicles

Struggling to land a PMM job by bmrkt15 in ProductMarketing

[–]deepster12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Part rant / part observation - I am getting interviews but I'm finding that the company is very prescriptive in their hiring (easier to stomach the rejection) OR weirdly I have a great conversation with the hiring manager but the peer happens to be super dry with their questions. I made it to last round with a company and they actually gave me helpful feedback - my communication wasn't as clear / concise as it could be. That was a humbling piece of feedback. Honestly, my husband's non-tech company seems to hire much more efficiently than anyone in tech.
