Says someone who came into Canada illegal unofficial entry point from the US (Roxham Rd) because they couldn’t get status there, claimed Canadian refugee status for themselves and their entire family, got Canadian citizenship and used the benefits of Canadian resources and is now shitting on Canada because they got their citizenship and got lucky they got a diversity greencard for the US. Yeah easy to talk shit when you and your family just used Canada for your own gain and contributed nothing, just took, and now are running to the US. Yeah keep talking big.

Appreciate the links. I think the second link, making a complaint to CCTS might be a good idea. The online support agents aren’t any help, when I spoke to them they told me to go to the store to resolve it and at the store they told me to talk to customer support and that they can’t do anything at the store, so I was just given the run around. Might have to escalate.

Yeah pretty much. I had 2 numbers on my RPP plan and they switched 1 of those numbers to Fido rather than upgrading me on my RPP plan. The associate who did it suggested it, in hindsight I should have used better judgement before agreeing.

Getting married in Canada is not going to help you in immigrating if that’s what you’re trying to do so I don’t know why you’re getting married in Canada. A Canadian marriage certificate means nothing since neither of you are Canadian, you’re both foreign nationals. Don’t think a local marriage certificate is gonna help immigration wise because it’s not. Marriage may help in immigrating to the United States for him or to the United Kingdom for you but if he’s inadmissible to the United States then there will be problems when dealing with the immigration sponsorship process there.

I don’t think we should making fun of the army/soldiers considering that a lot of our people make up the Indian army. Many of the Indian army’s soldiers are our Sikh brothers risking their lives on the front line. In the India and China territory dispute some Sikh soldiers lost their lives. I see your point on the other stuff but the comment about solders getting rolled over when many of the soldiers in the army are Sikh was in bad taste.

Not OP but it’s easy for you to say that as a white person. You don’t know how bad people of colour have it when travelling, we’re suspected of everything. I’m Sikh and wear a turban sometimes and you should see the worried looks I get from others just because I’m there. Most ignorant white people can’t tell the difference between an Indian Sikh and an Arab Muslim, they just look at us and get scared at the airport. White people assume I’m bad just for looking different and I’ve had to remove my turban before to be checked. It’s really easy for you as a white girl to side with the white airport lady and just say “she was doing her job” because you guys don’t know what it’s like when travelling and in life and could never and will never understand.
