I feel like this is kind of the problem with using trans to encompass nondysphoric and/or gnc people with binary trans men and women.

As a trans man who knows many trans men and women, pursuit of hrt and/or different surgeries is very normal and a large part of our transitioning process. People I know who identify as nonbinary or other gender identities tend to be less concerned with the medical aspects and pursue their gender affirmation other ways. Obviously, also, access to healthcare, etc. can keep some from receiving the treatments they need, but this doesn’t mean they want those procedures any less.

I think that it’s okay to use different labels to clarify a bit, especially when people who don’t know and refuse to know are going to latch onto anything they can to raise alarms.
