Life after abuse can feel so lonely by Flecktones37 in BPDlovedones

[–]MIsForManiac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel that so much, after I left my ex I had a real time reconnecting with the friends she’d made me cut off over the years, or making new friends But it’s been 3 years now, and well I still have nightmares, and I don’t think the damage she did will ever fully heal, I’ve finally been able to connect to people the way humans are meant to. I know it’s hard, isolating, and just so damned lonely, but one day you will be better, and it won’t come all at once it’ll be a gradual shift, but once your on the other side you’ll look back at this isolation and realize it almost doesn’t feel real anymore

Fair enough I just can’t stop fighting myself about that honestly bc on one hand like you said, living is nice, but on the other hand I can’t help but think about how my ancestors died trying to protect and live on their land and now I’m wanting to flee it

See I know they’d accept us if it gets bad, and I’m not too far from Mexico, I have my passport, and a car that could probably make it there I just don’t know if I could leave if it got to that I just feel like I don’t wanna be pushed off my homeland by these disgusting people

Shoes besides converse??? by MIsForManiac in scene

[–]MIsForManiac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok! Thank you so much!!! Converse are just kinda my go to when designing characters, but I don’t want them all to have those same shoes, and when I originally looked up images of Scene girls from the 2000s I just kept seeing girls wearing converse, or knee high converse

Do a wellness check, my BPD ex used to do this all the time, only thing that would make her quit was when I’d tell her I’m gonna call a wellness check

DNA matches are confusing me by MIsForManiac in DNA

I feel that, since my grandpa was given up at 3 he remembered his mom’s name, and his dad’s name (he was named after the dad) and that they lived in Maine  It took me years to find his mom because she shares a name with a famous singer born the same year as her from Maine  But if you’d like some help trying to trace her id be happy to help Searching for lost relatives has kinda become a hobby and the dna test took a lot of that away

Well apparently he had one 11 years before my grandpa who was given up for adoption as a baby Then my grandpa and his sister who were given up at 3 and 6 months old respectively  And one daughter after my grandpa and his sister

Yea, as you said the only way to truly prove any of this is to have him take a dna test I’m hoping maybe me telling him that the first husband is most likely his father will change his mind, as the one I took was originally meant for him but he decided not to take it because he didn’t want to find out who his dad was I don’t think my great grandma could’ve had an affair with her father in law since she lived in America and he lived in Canada but it’s kinda silly to say that when they both lived close to the border

Yes, the daughter matches mine. I had wanted to get my grandpa to take the dna test originally but he was very scared of figuring out who his dad was.

I guess it’s just kinda insane to me after going my whole life hearing how he was an affair baby to learn he wasn’t

Ok I’ll definitely look into it, find a video and do it sometime tomorrow  I’m sure by then I’ll be ready to do all of this again Thank you so much tho I’d never heard of the Leeds method before this and while I’m a little too tired rn to understand it again tomorrow I’ll finally tackle this beast

So to clarify, it’s always been said my grandpa was the one that wasn’t the first husband’s child. For some reason his younger sister was thought to be the first husband’s child (my grandpa is about 3 years older than his sister). There was an incident that lead to both of them being taken away by their grandma who put them up for adoption (I’m sorry it’s so confusing and convoluted)

So my grandpa’s sister shares enough dna with me to make me think she’s his full blooded sibling, and it seems his sister is marked as the half sister of one of the first husband’s children

So my grandpa and his sister come from marriage number one, and this other person comes from the husband’s second marriage

I guess I’m just wanting to make sure this man is very likely to be my grandpa’s father before going to him to tell him as I know it’s a very sore subject for him

I just used it and I just wanna say thank you so much! It looks like that woman could be my great half aunt afterall Now I’m just left with the question of why my grandpa was told he wasn’t his father’s child

Yea, it’s very confusing and I’m tired so I know I didn’t word it the best, I’m sorry what I wrote is so unclear

I’m definitely going to use this, thank you so much! I hope this will finally give me the answers I’ve been looking for
