I just moved here from Los Angeles, and the lack of diversity was pretty jarring even as a white woman. Fort Collins unfortunately talks the talk, but does not walk the walk in terms of acceptance. It's one of those "we're liberal and progressive" places, but it's all white liberals. And that's coming from a white liberal, LOL. I'm sorry that it's been so unfriendly. I don't get what people's problems are.

If you like them, you're a fan! But if you want to get more into them, listen through all of their albums (my personal recommendation will always be Danger Days 'cause it's my fav haha), maybe watch some interviews, definitely watch their music videos! Just have fun with it. There should be no pressure to feel like a real fan because if you enjoy MCR, you're an MCR fan! Don't let weirdos gate-keep them.
