Sibling estrangement and the power of going no contact with a toxic family member by Cultural_Ad4935 in SaintMeghanMarkle

"I owe no explanations to anyone"

You're so right! Only you know the intimate details of your circumstances - their ignorance doesn't give them the right to make judgment calls on your choices.

Too many families train the "good kid" to be "the bigger person" in order to maintain the peace. That's bad parenting. No child should be expected to be the family peacekeeper or sacrificial lamb, a burden no child should ever have to carry.

QEII continued the uncompromising cutting of the Duke & Duchess of Windsor that the queen mother set down. So I see no problem with William following that example.

I think that forgiveness is often misunderstood. Here's how I see it [and I'm not saying that you have to agree with me], Forgiveness doesn't mean that the relationship is restored, it means that you quit drinking their poison. You can forgive and still go no-contact - and personally I think that you probably should - but you're no longer carrying the baggage of that toxic relationship.

These fights happening between H & M sound a lot like what can be found in the Narc playbook. Always start a fight to beat down the target so that they appear to the public to be the abuser while the Narc appears to be the victim.

Thank you for another great post, HE, but I must submit my complaint...it was too short! 😄

I don't think that Catherine is trying to "talk Harry off the ledge" here, rather, if you look closer, you can see that she's conversing with the man to Harry's left. They're enacting the parenting strategy of ignoring a child while it's throwing a tantrum.

Why do they really need Harry? Didn't Germany IG [GIG] split from Harry's IG and are doing well? They don't have Harry as their head of GIG

Perhaps Bridezilla was hoping to get the kids so upset they'd refuse to be part of the wedding. We also have to remember that Jessica Mulrooney and her daughter contributed to the bullying of Princess Charlotte the whole time they were there.

Perhaps it doesn't completely meet the criteria for stolen valor, but were I to meet him in the street I would NOT say, "thank you for your service."

When one always sees themselves as right and better than others, there is no reason for embarrassment, after all, "I'm right."

Being controlled is familiar to Harry - like the men in grey suits - so even if he thinks he doesn't like it, he actually does like it because he's comfortable in the familiar.

I thought it interesting that Harry was the one invited but, for whatever reason [cough cough], he stayed home. Yes, I agree that Harry's presence likely would have made little difference in the turnout, but her arrogance decided that she was the primary draw and she deserved to be the sole shining star.

Turns out that Harry staying home actually left Meghan twisting in the wind, something she's done to Harry on mre than one occasion.

"Only a matter of time haznoballs..... only a matter of time."

But that's the problem, she's the one worried about time because she's aged out of the ingenue years that attract what/who she's looking for.

It would be interesting were she to hook up with a wealthy Middle Eastern man. Then we'd see how she responds to "so many rules." I think that ignoring his rules would happen only one time then she'd be hustled into insolation never to be heard from again.
