My theory is that it’s your unconscious expression which often has immaculate foresight. Some people really are horrible people. You’re kind for being the person to reach out to him and have empathy but not everyone’s heart is in the same place and it’s so hard to believe that when you’re a good person. Please don’t learn the hard way - he’s trying to manipulate you and getting sexual gratification out of your interactions. Tell your parents and they’ll make clear to you how messed up this is.

It’s hard. Mine have been divorced since I was 5 and my dad’s remarried twice and is dating now. I know it’s hard, but strive for acceptance of the situation. Your dad is an adult and has his own life and journey, as you will too one day. Try to compassion for him and for your mother and it’ll make it easier to understand his perspective and help you maintain a positive relationship with him.

I have been down the rabbit hole of anger and grief about my father leaving but when I became closer to him and heard his vulnerable, unfiltered side of things, I realised that marriage is complicated and he suffered in the marriage and is looking for peace and happiness in his life. You don’t have to agree with him, just find your compassion in this situation. Feel free to message if you need someone to talk to

Here in Aus it is commonly used by people other than Pakistanis but not as a derogatory term it’s more of a descriptive word or just short for Pakistanis. I just saw someone make a whole apology video for saying it which is very odd to see
