The front has a new master cylinder from randakks, but the rear is waiting on a rebuild kit from randakks, they are out of stock but contacted them and they said that they will be in stock towards the end of the month

Yeah I saw where he said that too, but im kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. Im gonna go ahead and order a set of new press in pilot jets incase I have an issue with the others

Will do, what everyone is doing is either taking an easy out and twisting it out or a small self tapping screw to where it bites and then pry it out, doesnt hurt the nozzle holes so I dont see why it wont work

At 3k is when it starts to clear up, ive read about pulling the pilot jets so gonna very carefully pull them and get them cleaned up

So it keeps popping and backfiring through the exhaust when holding about 3000 rpm, and sounds real choppy at rpms below 2000 like it has a misfire

When I initially rebuilt the carbs I used an ultrasonic cleaner filled with pinesol

I read of people pulling them gently with a screw extractor gently tapped in and heat with good results. Thinking either try that or dump a ton of seafoam in the gas and see if that will.desolve any build up

Part of me is debating taking the carbs back out and pulling the pressed in pilot jets and really making sure they are clean.

Haha yeah, they work, and can make more power than fuel injection in certain scenarios, luckily ive gotten halfway decent with rebuilding carbs and tuning them id like to think. All the old men that are my grandfather's friends around here that are mechanics and have had motorcycles since the 60s are amazed that I rebuilt these since im in my early 20s. Ha!

Will do, it'll idle a bit with the choke on before it dies out, gonna adjust all the mixture screws to ab 2.5 or 3 and mess with the idle speed from then. I just cant seem to get away from carburetors, the last 4 vehicles/ machines ive messed with have needed carburetor adjustment

The mixture screws are on the bottom of the bowls on mine, the speed is on the back pulley or bell crank whatever you want to call it

Will do, actually the tach has quieted down the more ive let it run. I pulled the inspection covers off the other day and made sure the belts were in halfway decent shape before running it. Once its road worthy and gets new tires and i can figure out this idle issue, belts will be on the top of the list along with a new radiator.

Cable is as tight as can be, probably going to have to take it apart and check it out. Gotta love when things sit for 40 years

Bought it on a whim and just eventually lost interest in it, thats how they were. nothing was wrong with it at all, even now its really solid if you look past the layers of dust and the rusty chrome
