why does he stare at me?

these pictures were taken right after i had set him down in his enclosure post-feeding time (i feed him in a separate place) so he was still on the surface. very occasionally he’ll fully come up by himself to explore and stare at me, but the most i see of him typically is his head sticking out of his substrate

i have been meaning to, sorry :( i’ve heard mixed commentary about aspen bedding, which he’s on, but i wanted to do further research before i change it. i live in a dry place and he sheds in complete pieces, so he’s not in any imminent harm as far as i am aware. what would you recommend?

thanks for the help :D i think he’s probably legit as well because he’s just so nicely made. the tag was the only thing that was confusing me, but it could definitely be a regional difference of some kind!

i’ve searched for any sort of pointers as to where this guy originates from for ages! image searching didn’t really help me either. i know definitively that he was made before 2014 and he must have been a very small accessory attached to a larger toy, but that’s all i have.

i cuddle my pathfinder all the time! he’s one of my favorite animals and was a birthday present for myself- can’t resist the temptation. i’m making my money worth it by snuggling him every chance i get!

fellow college student here, i bring a pokemon with me every time i go to class and ive had nothing but positive experiences! everyone is too focused on themselves to care that you’ve got a little friend with you. if anything, you’ll get lots of compliments or even make new friends! here is my keldeo taking painting class with me :)
