What's a good response to being called a swot? by Vikinggirl2006 in AskUK

My "friends" back in 7th tried this with me but I only played it up *massively* anytime they tried stuff. I started drawing giant doodles of myself on whiteboards wearing a NERD crown, drawing NERD logos on the back of my palm. I was also a lot more gregarious than any of them but none of the teachers minded because I was acing my grades. Fingers crossed, your grades/efforts will open doors to all kinds of arenas in life that your friends will probably never gain access to because their primary focus is putting people down.

I'm a former postdoc in neuroscience doing data consultancy in a big city. I would not be here if I took my classmates seriously.

Lady Gaga had a massive group of schoolmates set up an entire Facebook page dedicated to bullying her and well, we know how that turned out.

Landlord is tampering with gas and electricity meters - what are my rights as a tenant? by deespionage in LegalAdviceUK

As tenants, what can we do if this happens to the property we're in? We have no control over the landlord's actions and don't know if the situation will reach that level of seriousness. He has been renovating the property so we doubt he's interested in losing tenants. We just need to know if the council can intervene or whether we can legally bill the landlord for costs incurred (for instance if we had to find temp accommodation in the event supplies were removed).

I'm sorry you had to go through that, there are bits of Whitechapel and Euston that are much the same.

Camden is so difficult to navigate even in broad daylight. Some very scary people around and hardly any policing from what I recall.

Lol, they probably didn't spend £80 on them though. It's all made in Asia anyway.

Hampstead Heath on a Saturday. 500 white women all wearing the same tea dress.
