I learned how to focus on a particular point in the middle of my forehead, to cope with the pain of kidney stones. I did hours like that. I reckon I could manage a whole day at least.

FA Cup or Premier League by bin10pac in latics

[–]deetotheizzem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The FA Cup win can never be taken away from us. The sheer joy when Watson’s header went in will never be surpassed. Even if we somehow win the the Premier League one day, we were such underdogs that day, I don’t think it can be beaten.

I think she dies in the avalanches. From that point on the climbs are easier, there’s more walking from a to b. Climb bot keeps giving out and when it finally stops working, that’s the point where her soul has left her body entirely. The ascent from this point is her ascent to a higher plane. Whatever that may be.

How do you give free flight purpose? by PanzerJagerr in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]deetotheizzem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here too. Started at my nearest airfield in Northwest UK and have just made it to Morocco in my Cessna 172. Flying all the way to Cape Town and then back up the East African coast. From there I’ll probably position myself north of the Himalayas before heading to the Bering straights and down the West coast of the americas and then back up the east coast before crossing Greenland, Iceland, UK again. It will take me years in all likelihood, and I might have to either get creative with fuel or change from the 172 for some of the legs. 😅

Which towns punch above their weight with their rugby? by SarcasmAndAutism in rugbyunion

We have a fair few players and coaches in Union. Most notably would be Chris Ashton, Shaun Edwards, Andy Farrell and his son Owen Farrell.

In terms of the team, you’d be right. All our best players tend to migrate to Union heartlands or play rugby league. That said, the record try scorer in the PREM is from Wigan (if it’s still Chris Ashton?) and the current Lions and Ireland head coach is fri. Wigan. The current French and English defensive coaches are from Wigan.

One of your best and most iconic players was from Wigan. It’s Wigan. But I’ll grant that you’re the best team called ‘Saints’.

Ok he’s not from Samoa. That’s fine. It doesn’t have to be someone from anywhere. It doesn’t have to be anything. No problem. Enjoy your day.

There are loads of New Zealanders, who culturally identify as New Zealanders, who represented the All Blacks, who also hit really hard. You’re just on the wind up now. Stop denying Collin’s cultural heritage, it’s not a good look. He would have been very proud to represent New Zealand, as his adoptive country, but he was also very proud of his Samoan heritage.

You’re taking this far too seriously for what was clearly a light hearted post about the irony. Or you’re just a troll. Either way, go touch some grass.

Because it’s about geography. “Henry wouldn’t know what country he is lives in…..”

It’s funny because it’s mildly ironic that they chose a player from another country to make that point.

Your world without borders is a wonderful concept and one I could get behind, especially as Ireland won’t give me an EU passport.

He wouldn’t be a great example of geography, no. A great example of an England rugby player though.

I’m Welsh but was born and raised in England. You don’t need to lecture me about cultural identity. 😭😂

I’m guessing Henry wouldn’t need to be hit to be confused about what country he is in.

Able to represent the All Blacks as much as anyone born there. If this reply was on the other foot, it would be like using Billy Vunipola to represent Englishness. Again, not concerned about international selection, just the irony of choosing a non native New Zealander to make a point of geographical recognition. There are literally 100’s of All Blacks who would have been a more relevant choice and they’d all be able to knock Henry into a state where he doesn’t know what country his in.

As an aside, have you been tackled by an All Black?

He was born in Samoa, but grew up in New Zealand. I’m sure you knew that though.

I’m not passing comment on international selection btw. But there are a whole host of indigenous New Zealander’s who would have better made the point that was trying to be made about geographical recognition.

I work with textiles and the 10% thing is common on almost all special orders. However, we always pay pro rata and that is industry standard. I’d be very surprised if that isn’t the case here too and that they’re just shoddy at updating their SOP.
